Overall we had a great experience at The Retreat at Carolina Bay. I especially liked that they take an individualized approach to each patient's care.

We picked this community, because of the warmth of the environment and staff. We had several good choices, but the building is more my mom's style and was on sale at the time. It doesn't feel like a hotel. My mom has had a very positive experience. The residents and staff are very nice and she has found a group of friends to sit with/have dinner with, etc... She enjoys the activities very much. The staff works together to ensure the residents have a positive experience. They had a prom, holiday meals w extended family/friends invited. They are thoughtful and also plan for events. The residents and guests had so much fun at the prom. They had an outing beforehand to a consignment shop for people to get fancy dresses. It was wonderful.

I absolutely recommend the Retreat over all the other places. Your loved one will be in good hands!!!They had the best price, I actually liked the staff. They didn't seem phony. I felt like they had control over the residents, and it was the cleanest facility I saw out of 8 places.

I really looked forward to Mother’s Day and loved that it wasn’t all on me to entertain mom. They had a tea with nice cake and hats to wear. A lot of people showed up. It was a nice spring day

You could not find a better staff. [name removed] the manager is great. [name removed] the nurse is absolutely wonderful as well, and even the the people who do the mundane chores are great. We've visited many facilities and Colonial is by far the best they are very friendly they are definitely concerned about the resident and they're always available. The obvious concern that they showed was the main reason we chose The Colonial.

I'd rate all 7 categories 5 stars. It's really a very good facility. There are 2 things that do stand out. First is the genuine compassion of the staff for the residents and second is that they do a very good job of keeping you ( me) informed and up to date on how my wife is doing. I would recommend The Colonial to anyone in need of a community for their loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour with The Retreat at Summerville and we thought the tour experience was great, but it was just now going to be the best fit for our loved one

Great facilities and staff and management all around. Very well run, patient and knowledgeable nursing staff, very clean rooms, upkeep in general is phenomenal, good communication from all levels of the team. I would absolutely recommend The Retreat at Fishersville to other families.

I toured this facility and really liked it. The room was a little smaller compared to other places in the area. But the price was good, it was clean, the people were very friendly, and the residents looked happy. It's a smaller community.

For the most part, our family and friends who've visited there have been pretty impressed with the place. It's very clean and efficient. The staff is friendly and seem to take care of Mom well. The food looks pretty good. They offer plenty of activities. Sometimes their communication could be a little better, but overall I've been satisfied and would highly recommend it.

Everyone at the Colonial at Old Camden cares about my mom and her health. They make sure she is well taken care of and keeps me informed of everything going on in the community. The Colonial was the best place for mom.

While everyone wants to continue to live independently at home, this is an awesome place when this becomes impossible. Our loved one was becoming more debilitated when he became a resident at the Colonial of Old Camden. The administrative staff worked with us to get him quickly admitted. After a couple of weeks post-admission, the nurse administrator recognized that he was having a major medical issue and got him transferred to a medical facility saving his life. After an extended hospital stay and close brush with death, the staff loved and nourished him back to his baseline health upon his return. It also helps that he enjoys the food and regained the 50 lbs. lost over the extended illness. We couldn't have found a better place for our loved one to land. We are so very thankful!!!

In my opinion The Colonial at Old Camden is the best in our area for assisted living. All of the associates are friendly and helpful. The community is clean and nicely decorated. They have activities on a regular basis.

Our family has been very pleased with many aspects of Old Colonial. [Name removed] has always been readily available for our needs and concerns. [Name removed] has been very supportive and open to suggestions for our loved one’s care. It is a very clean, beautiful facility with staff that works with you from a very thoughtful approach.

My mother has been a resident in the community for about a month now. The staff is VERY supportive. They take really good care of my mother. They are very responsive to my questions or concerns. She has made friends in the facility, and it has been a very positive move. She likes to attend the many activities they have including daily exercised and different outing. Mom even says she likes the food.

It's beautiful and the rooms are larger than the other facilities in the area. My loved one would love it if the provided transportation to an actual Church on Sundays. Their food is really good and the support staff is amazing. It's brand new and very beautiful. All the residents are so nice. The location is close to shopping, grocery, and wonderful restaurants. They have fun outing for the residents as well as theme parties and activities. The community is well organized and accommodating. We visited at least 6 different communities before deciding on River Park. River Park was a great cost because their rooms are larger for less money than most of the other places and they used quality fixtures, flooring, cabinets and showers. Great and safe place to live.

The staff is available for anything that may come up, even after hours. The tech staff go above the standard for my loved one (resident). The more I visit and get to know them all, the deeper the bond and feeling of family! The Colonial at Old Camden was a wonderful decision for our family. I would absolutely recommend the community to other families!

We are very pleased with the care here at The Colonial. All the staff do their very best to accommodate needs and requests. They have an excellent chef, and it is reflected in the meals. Because we have had such a positive experience, we have recommended this facility to friends.

The colonial in Camden is top notch. Their staff was professional and courteous. The facilities were well kept, modern and stylish. I would definitely recomend this favility to others looking for whatever level of care they need.

I am the Director of Children's and Youth Ministries at the local United Methodist Church and I often bring young people to visit residents at this facility. Our visits are always welcomed, and that is so important! This facility is clean, pleasant and well operated! Our church members who live at Old Colonial are happy and content. Their families are very satisfied with the care they are receiving!
