The Seasons on Tezel

Through this letter I want to express my most sincere thanks for the attention, love and care your whole staff at seasons have given to my wife [name removed]. I do not remember whether it was you [name removed] or you [name removed] who told us, [name removed] and I "once [name removed] is in our care you'll have nothing to worry about" that was 7 months ago. Even though I am no longer caregiver, on my part, it is hard; but when I see [name removed] how is she tries to play or interact with your employees, that makes me feel good. At times I have been tempted to tell our daughter " let's get Mom out of here, look the way she is now!" But I know she looks "normal" because of the way you treat her, the first class care she receives at Seasons. I don't want to say names, because I'm afraid I might leave someone out but every person at season's deserves our recognition and thanks for their professionalism. Unfortunately I have had "experience" regarding nursing homes and their workers. Ironically [name removed] at one time told me "when visiting your father at the nursing home don't go empty, treat the nurses and AIDS with respect, sometimes they are understaffed and mistreated from relatives or residence, take some donuts or candies, earn their trust and appreciate their work they do on your dad". 15 years later I am trying to do the same. Through those experiences I know that seasons is lucky, fortunate to have such very good workers, correction, they are not workers they are dedicated, compassionate, qualified, Real and True caring persons. I have learned to recognize a worker in the one whose job is it calling and seasons is full of the last one. If someone ask me about any assisted living facility without any doubt I will highly recommend Seasons all the way. Thank you for taking care of [name removed] and forgive me to be some kind of selfish, but I wish the same workers will take care of [name removed] for many many years. As you [name removed] or [name removed] said " once [name removed] is here you have nothing to worry about". Thank you.

The Seasons on Tezel is the finest Alzheimer's \dementia care facility i have ever experienced. My wife and i can not thank [name removed] and her team of professionals enough for their compassion and professionalism. We were always kept in the loop about any treatment option and we were kept up to date on any change either positive or negative. My aunt died on [date removed] after many years at the seasons. Dementia \Alzheimer's is cruel and relentless but we are so thankful that [name removed] was a resident at Seasons. [name removed] rescued [name removed] after she had been abandoned by another facility at a hospital and then immediately called me to ask if she could care for her. [name removed] is a gift to this world. Thanks again to all those professionals who worked so tirelessly to bring comfort to [name removed]. [name removed].

The Seasons on Tezel is the best facility treating and caring for Alzheimer's that I have ever experienced. My Aunt was a resident there for the past few years until her death on March 28th, 2018. I can not thank the owner [name removed] and her team of professionals enough. [Name removed] first met my Aunt when she had been abandoned by another facility. A case worker contacted me and suggested [name removed] who then went to meet [name removed] and then called me and asked if she could be placed in her care. Unbelievable that someone could be that compassionate. When we first visited that The Seasons, we were immediately impressed by how clean and updated it was maintained. The health professionals were attentive and always kept us in the loop. Dementia / Alzheimer's is cruel and perplexing. For those considering a facility that will respond to your loved one's needs and to your concerns and needs look no further. The Seasons is the best decision you could make.

Seasons Alzheimer's Care and Assisted Living is a beautiful and wonderful facility. The cleanliness is always at a 5 star level and the staff really goes above and beyond to maintain a loving and caring home for the residents. There is an activity cordenator there to schedule different activities ranging from aerobics, messages, a few different music therapy sessions, bible study, church on sundays, even exotic animals to visit the residents. Beautiful outside sitting gazebo with couches, and a nice side walk around the building for the residents to take walks outside. I couldn't imagine a better loving facility for your loved ones to call home?

The Seasons has been a wonderful and caring home for our 96 year old Dad since Nov 2015, and we continue to be totally pleased with the entire experience. Everything about this facility reflects love, respect, and compassion for the patients who reside there. From day one, the staff began to take care of all of Dad's needs, and are there immediately whenever he requires additional assistance or support. The meals are excellent and skillfully prepared by a cook assigned personally to his building ( there are two building on the property with 16 residents per building). Medication are professionally monitored by a nurse who makes sure his dose schedule is followed to the letter. If a doctor is required, the staff is right on top of making sure one is available. All in all, if you are looking for caring and professional place to place your loved one, The Seasons is the answer! Check it out!

This is a home that is nice but not as nice as a community we were comparing it to. It was large and well designed. It was great just not what I thought was appropriate for my mom's needs. They were on a list from A Place For Mom and it was nice to have their help in setting up the tours.

Super impressed by [Removed], activities director at this facility. He keeps the patients active and happy and always has a smile on his face. As a Home Health therapist for 20 years, I have visited many facilities and it's wonderful to see [Removed] have fun with and care for his patients.

My Mother was a resident for a year and a half. It wasn't easy putting my 90 year old mom who was a 5 time cancer survivor into assisted living. I found Seasons on the internet and set up a meeting with Mona [Removed] for a tour of the facility. Upon arrival I was immediately put at ease and found the facility like home rather than a facility. I can't say enough good words about her and her teams approach to handling residents. From the beginning I had no concerns about the care given. The Staff keeps you aware of any little situation that might be of concern. They also provide awesome activities that get everyone involved. If you are considering Season's, please visit and it will be your first step to peace of mind that your loved one will be cared for by Mona and her wonderful staff.

Professional, caring staff. My brother has been there for more than a year. Meals are good and nutritious. My brother is kept clean and groomed. The management staff is quite responsive to any requests. When needed he is given prompt medical care. He confided in my daughter recently that it was the best place he has been.

A Godsend !! Had wanted my mom here since 2015 but there were no rooms available at the time !! Fate intervened and she is finally in a facility where she is cared for as if she were their own family. Everyone at Seasons, from Mona, Mari and the entire staff, is professional and compassionate. Her well being is their main concern and they note when she doesn't eat and work with her to coax her into eating when she is confused. The caregiver to patient ratio is the best I've ever seen or heard of. They are always having different activities and/or visitors who sing or bring in pets for the residents to interact with. It is a small "home-like" setting, not the cold antiseptic setting of other facilities. Highly recommended !! It's been a blessing for my mom and our family !!

I like the community and it has been good for my mom and I. The staff have been kind and helpful. They are good at managing my mom's behavior very well. Her first day moving in went very good. I am very happy with the home. My mom is doing some activities that are provided. I am please with the care that is here.

My Mother has been a resident at Old Tezel location for almost a year. I was at my wits end because she had lived independently up to the age of 92 years and was insistent (and resistant) that she should continue to do so. Mona T was recommended to me and I can't say enough good words about her approach to handling residents. She also imparts this to her Staff. The aide to patient ratio is wonderful and they are very caring. All of this is so important to me because neither I nor my son live in the area so we must trust the Staff with total care of my Mother. From the beginning I have had no qualms or concerns about the care given. The Staff is very conscientious about keeping us aware of any little situation that might be of concern as well as sending pictures from time to time. They also give updates regularly on the positive aspects and their activities. If anyone is considering Season's, please visit and you will get the good feelings I did the first time and also honest evaluation on how your loved one will be cared for from Mona.

I have found that she has all of these things at Bader House. The staff at Bader House is very caring and knows my “new mom” on a personal level. I can tell that she feels comfortable and loved when she is around them by her actions when I visit. I know that neither of us have control over this disease. What I do know is that my mom has quality of life at Bader House because she is happy almost all of the time and she loves the staff, the home-like atmosphere with home-cooked meals and the friends who live with her. Because of the people that work at Bader House, I am able to be the daughter again. They are my mom’s primary caregivers now. It is hard to give someone else the control of a loved one’s complete care. With the confidence I have in the staff at Bader House I am able to turn my mom’s care over to them. Mom is 87 yrs. old and has been living at Seasons for seven months. The Seasons is spacious, new, and welcoming. The food is like Mom's home cooking with a healthy variety that appeals to everyone's appetite. The staff is caring and attentive with the emphasis on personalized care that dignifies those who need help at this difficult time in their life. Seasons truly provides total care without additional hidden costs. With Mom at Seasons, the family knows that she is safe and well cared. Our family has peace of mind because - Mom is home.

Bader House is a fabulous place for my mom. I can be the daughter again and know that she is safe, loved and cared for 24/7. The staff is very patient and understanding with all the residents.

The Alzheimer’s journey with a loved one is not an easy road. Each and every day is a new day for someone who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. This disease does not discriminate and no two patients are alike. I thank God for people like Mona [removed] and her staff at the Seasons Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care Facility on Old Tezel Road in San Antonio, Texas. I moved my dad from another facility in Texas, when I was told that they could no longer handle his behavior. It was a large Alzheimer’s facility. If they couldn’t take care of my dad, who would. Talk about feeling helpless and alone! My husband visited several facilities in San Antonio. It was Mona and the Seasons environment that sold him on a place for dad. My dad joined the Seasons family in August 2015. I felt obligated to let Mona know that my dad was in the stage of Alzheimer’s disease where he would become easily agitated and loud outbursts were the norm. Mona reassured me they handle all stages of the disease. Mona and her most compassionate staff welcomed my dad with open arms. Their actions speak volumes! Compassion, hope, love, dignity, and respect are just a few of the traits that Mona and her staff exhibit. I feel that dad is at home. He enjoys the wholesome home cooked meals and the interaction with staff. Seasons provides a clean, safe and secure home-like environment. Seasons is a small 16 bed unit, but excels largely in all aspects of care. It is because of Mona and her staff, that my dad continues to thrive. I know he never feels alone in his journey. I would highly recommend Seasons Alzheimer’s Care Facility. They provide the peace that I need, knowing that my dad is being well taken care of and his needs are being met. Also, kudos to Heart To Heart Hospice for the care and kindness they demonstrate towards my dad.

Since my Mother's diagnosis, I have lived by one rule: Those who are forgetting should not be forgotten. From art and music therapy to the regular animal visits to walks on their secure property, private rooms and freshly prepared meals...every step, every aspect of care at Seasons is focused on optimizing the well being and happiness of the Alzheimer's patient. The team goes above and beyond to assure that everyone is cared for like they family, and indeed, it is because the patients are in fact more than just a patient - they are Seasons Family and cared for as such. I could not have chosen a more caring and compassionate group for my Mom - their recent award from Caring.com is only a hint of the true depth and magnitude of their talents and kindness. Mom is cared for with love and her dignity is assured and advocated for everyday. I only wish that every dementia patient could have this experience and this awesome level of care. I am reminded daily of how lucky we are to have found Mona and her team, and the smile I see on my Mom's face is the validation I need to know we have made the best decision. After all, you only ever want the best for the person who not only loved you best in life but for whom your heart beats. Kudos to Mona and the Seasons Team, for showing us everyday that Those Who Are Forgetting Should Not Be Forgotten. My love and thanks to you all.

I honestly don't know what I would do, if I didn't know my father was at Season's! He had been in other placements and had to be moved, I didn't have the peace that I needed. The owner, Mona has a very high standard and people who work there don't last long if they aren't compassionate and loving, on top of being able to do a great job. The manager Arlene, seems to be able to do 100 things at a time, and yet spends quality time with each client, in a very tender way, and the staff is great! They treat the clients as if they were part of their own family. You won't walk in and smell that "normal smell" like at some places. The food is all home cooked and appropriate for the clients ages, and delicious. The thing I love the most, is that you feel like you are part of the family when your family member is there. I highly recommend Season's, and im so grateful for my dad to be able to live there. I visited close to 30 places, and i can tell you, this is a great place. The patient/staff ratio is highest of any place we toured!! Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to help my dad!

I love seasons. My dad is very happy there. Mona and her staff are amazing with everyone. I watch them with everyone, it's good when I go there. I am very happy with them and his care and treatment. She has been very clear about the price and what was included. They educate me and are always helping me, and when I feel guilty, they show me how happy he is. When I first walked in I was worried because of previous experiences, but the people were great and helped him get his personality back.
