very nice, except for the food

Park Visalia is a very nice place. The staff is very nice and everything they do is very good. The one area where they really need to improve is the food. The food is not good at all, and has only gotten worse. Several people have complained about it. Hopeflly they will take notice and make some improvements soon. Everything else is very nice.

definitely disappointed and very much hoping for improvements!

The one thing that bothers me is that there is a huge turnover in staff at Park Visalia. There were four different directors last year and multiple changes with the regular patient care staffing, so I'm not feeling really comfortable about my husbands care at this point.

Extremely disappointed in this facilities lack of humanity

The residents and staff were very good. I would tell other families, that if they ever want themselves or their loved one to feel like an ATM Machine then this is the place for them. The staff was good but never had a management group made me feel like my mother was a paycheck and not a person.

My Review of Park Visalia Assisted Living and Memory Care

A good community, just didn't seem to be the right fit for my loved one. There are a lot of open space for the residents to walk around.

Food needs improvement !!

My loved one was not to pleased with the meals they provided for her. The veggies were always over cooked and they needed more of a variety of dinner plates. The nursing staff needs improvement on there organization with medications, my mother did not have the correct medications for the first couple days because of their miscommunication.

Review of Eden Villa Castro Valley - Castro Valley, CA

Strictly an Assisted Living facility. The most expensive ( 244500 2b month 2b deposit plus cost for various levels of care) of the ones in this area. Also the oldest facility. Looking for my father dont think he would be happy here.

Disappointed in our experience, needs improvements

I would tell others that the gardens at Park Visalia are very pretty, and they do allow pets, ( but for an charge extra). Overall though I'm more than just a little disappointed at this point in our experience here.

Community Tour

Carefield Castro Valley was horrible. It was like night and day compared to the place we chose. It cost a lot more. Yet it felt like a cold, hospital room. You had a shared bedroom with one bathroom. There was no privacy or curtain in the bedroom. And they didn't have a lot of activities.

Dismal

We drove by Madonna Gardens for my loved one, but we didn't go in. Even from the outside, it just looked so dismal to me. I knew without even touring that this was not the place for my loved one to be, so we continued our search.

This facility was not acceptable, maintenance seemed sub standard, there was no memory care, residents were not visable and /or engaged (only saw two or three and they were not interacting with staff) management was kind, but unprofessional. Plenty of openings here.
