Bethany Living

We toured this community and it was a small home and there was only like 4 residents at the time. There was one person and she did all the cooking and care for the residents. The person that did the tour was knowledgeable and answered all my question. My mom just decided she didn't want to move from the place she was.

The am very happy with the care from the staff at this community. We like that the community is clean and a nice enviroment. The menu is very good and she likes the good variety. My sister offers to participate in the acties that are offered. I am very happy with the care that she is receiving and would recommend another family for the care of a loved one.

This community is now called Emerald Assisted Living and general assisted living. My father in law is doing great, they are doing a good job. I would definitely recommend this home. The meals and care are going very well. They care about him and the nurse is very smart and she is the owner. I am just so happy he is there. [Removed], my advisor from A Place For Mom, did a very good job pairing us with this place.

They make homemade good tasting food. My dad likes to participate in the arts and crafts. The home is clean and well taken care of. The caregivers are able to take better care of him than the last place he stayed. This is a smaller home and it works for us.

This is the third assisted living I took my uncle to and, from my analysis, the best. Mr. Kim and his wife provide a bright and functional atmosphere.

Experienced caretaker who give individual care.

It was not an easy decision having to place my husband in an assisted living home. Yet the first moment I walked through the front door, I knew this was a home where my husband would be loved and cared for. The short period of time he was there, I immediately realized their excellence was beyond what I originally thought. The two caregivers showered my husband with love, devotion and caring. How blessed were we to have found a home that would give my husband so much of what he needed. I will forever be thankful for the patience, love and care given him.

My loved one was a resident at Emerald Assisted Living and overall it was a positive experience. The staff was friendly, but there was a lot of primary caregiver turnover. The meals were good, but not tailored for diabetics. The move in process was okay. I visited my loved one almost daily. My suggestion would be for them to add an exercise aspect. The residents generally just sat and watched TV all day. There was no walking or chair aerobics. There was also no mental stimulation like puzzles or card games. Overall, it was a positive experience and value if you are just looking for a safe place for your loved one.

Staff gives the extra care needed to ensure residents, medicine, toliet assistance, cleanliness, clean clothes, feeding patients and checking safety measures.

The facility was excellent with communication, which was especially important as we were 2 hours away. She was treated like gold, especially in her final days. Made unannounced visits and she was always fresh and comfortable. Mom passed a week into the prepaid month and they happily pro-rated a refund for the remainder, an unexpected blessing. I would like to add that the hospice connected to that facility was also outstanding. Emerald had a great layout for her since she was in bed most of the time. She did spend some time in an adult "high chair" with the other residents.

We chose this facility because it is a smaller community and I knew my dad would be more comfortable here than a larger one. My dads room is very nice size, it was a house that was converted, so pretty big. I have not eaten here, but my dad seems to like it. the best part about the community so far has been how close it is to me and the residents here are friendly. One downside is they do not seem to be taking the residents out anywhere, but I am not sure if it is due to COVID or not. I would recommend the community for the right person.

I am pleased so far with this place and the people working here. From the outside I thought, okay a house, but inside it is spacious and clean. I like that all the residents get their own room since my Father is very with it at times and likes his space. My Father's fist day was today and he seems to like it. It is conveniently located to my job so I can visit just about anytime, I was told. We are happy to find this place.

The main reasons we selected Emerald Assisted Living are its price and it's close proximity to the rest of the family. However, the rest of the community itself seems great. [Removed], one of the caretakers is very nice, and she seems to really care about the residents. The food here is pretty good. At first, they did not seem able to provide my loved one with food according to his diabetic needs, but they are doing a much better job of accommodating his diet now. I do wish they provided more activities for the residents, but otherwise, the community has been a great fit for us

The caregivers are nice and they take good care of my grandma. She seems to like the food and they keep the home clean. They do try to keep her as active as they can. My only concern is that the house doctor only comes in once a month.

My mother is no longer here at this care home, but our experience was a good one. Unfortunately they were no able to provide the take of care my mother needed. Overall it was a nice experience, everybody was very kind. They have a great staff here. They do a good job with keeping the home nice and neat. There are activities offered for the residents. The food is pretty good. It was a good experience and I would recommend this care home.

Met with Mi Lyung Oh this AM and came away very impressed. Very clean. Her staff was very pleasant. Definitely will schedule another meeting so my mother will be able to see for herself that this is a nice place. I also want to see her Frederick home although I know its full at this time.

I was not impressed by my tour with Bethany Living

The house is on a main road. It was small and dark and did not smell clean upon my initial entrance. I did not stay... it immediately felt like the wrong place for my mother.

I believe that this might have been a good fit as well. It appeared that the residents were able to get out and about and that was one of my biggest concerns. The home itself appeared to be clean.

This was a daughters worse fear. My mother had been at Bethany living during Covid and had bruises on her, not minor ones. I can share pics if you request. No one could explain it. When I went to visit my mom and ask about it she would flinch. The owner didn’t care about her she was only concerned about her cable box. At one point they even took toilet paper from my mom. Please don’t send your loved one hear, especially if that can’t communicate When reported the ombudsman found many ways to cite them
