Lexington offers a wide variety of attractions and has the conveniences of a modern city. It has diverse options for shopping and dining but maintains its historic roots. Known as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington has many attractions for equestrian enthusiasts.

Lexington is home to around 450 horse farms that surround the city as well as famous race tracks such as Keeneland. Horse farm tours are available to enthusiasts looking to observe thoroughbred horses and daily operations.

Throughout the downtown area and the University of Kentucky’s campus, many museums and historic sites are available to tour. Museums offer exhibits on subjects such as science, art, and aviation.
