This type of complex offers its occupants around-the-clock care administered by on-site nurses. Many residents of nursing homes are humans with behavioral problems. These can encompass verbal fits, resisting aid, or a tendency to wander. The most common mental disease effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can cloud their memory function, and familiarity, and decision making capacities. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from abuse and neglect, be free from discrimination, participate in activities, and be treated with respect.
