Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the opportunity to live their active lives while assuring their basic needs are being met. Residents may live their lives as they wish while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they prefer. While policies differ between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are a number of expenditures and advantages to consider when selecting an independent living community.
