While not perfect, I would still recommend it to other families. They're open to communication and have done what we needed them to do for our family member after we talked to them. Like most places, I think it's better to get there earlier on for assisted living vs. later on when you're too medially ill. But it's a place I would consider going myself. One thing I really like is that they make visiting easy. We're able to spend a lot of time with our family member, and I know that's not always the case at other places.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour and we had a great tour experience the staff members were very friendly towards us
Our family had an in person tour and it was a very nice tour experience but the rooms were just a little to small for what we were looking for

My brother spent 2 weeks during a respite stay at Wickshire in PSL. He was very comfortable and enjoyed his time there. The staff and residents were wonderful The staff was very accommodating, personable, made him feel so special, like family .They have great activities, very nice restaurant and menu. The facility looks like a 5 star hotel, and the room he stayed in was beautiful, spacious, and cheery. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful facility.

This was a nice community. If we didn't pick another community we would have moved here.
We had a great tour with Wickshire Port St. Lucie. We didn't care much for it though as an independent living facility. They seemed to be a little on the depressing side.
My experience with Wickshire was Awesome, a friendly and family oriented feeling that you would love for you or your loved ones. Friendly and courteous staff that goes above and beyond their regular duties and responsibilities. This is the place to have loved ones and know that they will be well taken care of, and better for you pockets with most amenities included. Wickshire gives this warm and comforting feeling you will not find anywhere and the food is delicious.

Wickshire Port St. Lucie was wonderful. [name removed] was terrific - very helpful, as were the caregivers. They coordinated and worked well with hospice. All the workers were helpful, from day one right up until the end. If I were to ever to need a place, I would hope for a place like this.
Wickshire Port St. Lucie gets all 5 stars. One of my favorite part about the facility was the fact that residents can decorate their rooms to make them their own. They only small negative was some language barriers with staff members.

Some of the help is very good. Some just come to work every day. But on the whole, they were very good. The food was just okay. The facility was clean. And they kept my loved one clean and in clean clothes.
My mom has actually gotten better since moving in because of the structure there, and mentally she seems to be doing well with that. The staff do their best, and from what I can see, they don't have much turnover. So my mom knows everybody, which is nice. I think they keep the facility up very nicely. It looks very clean and nice. And the dining room is clean as well.

The activities are good and overall the value is really good. The staff are very friendly and nice towards our loved one and our family. However we do not really are for the quality of the meals and the plastic silverware.

The initial couple of weeks were difficult. There were problems with medication administration. As a new person coming into the community I don't think she got the amount of attention she needed to assimilate, especially coming in from a rehab facility. But I think a lot of that had to do with a problem with the nurse, who is no longer at Wickshire. My loved one was assigned an ambassador, but unfortunately the ambassador got impatient and frustrated with her. We were supposed to get a re-evaluation within 30 days, and 60 days in, that still hasn't happened. But the medication situation seems to have been corrected. And she's assimilating better now that she knows the mealtimes, where to go for things, and when. So it has been much much better. On the good side, the community is very active, and the staff is extremely friendly. Now that she's settled in, I'm so glad that she's there. I could have chosen facilities that were closer to where I live, but it's worth the drive to me because she's so happy. She tells all our family how much she and loves it there. She has so many friends, and they're always busy doing something.

This was a nice tour but I did not feel like they would be able to care for my loved one like he needed due to behavior issues.
Wickshire was more expensive and I did not find it as nice. The rooms were particularly small, they put 2 studio apartments together to make a 1 bedroom but it was still small. There are 2 bathrooms in the room which we found kind of odd.
A Place for Mom was a "God Sent" to help us through the ordeal of what to do! What are our options?-Thank you! Wickshire is perfect for our needs and not too small but not so large as to make navigating by our parents a problem. Helpful at all times.

This community was just as nice as the community that we went with the cost was just out of the range of what we were looking for for our loved one.
It would be an okay place for your loved one to go to, it is a nice community. The food seems to be institution or hospital food like. Some of the activities offered are: art classes, games, and some additional for the residents to choose from.

We chose Atria Port St. Lucie because they were super friendly and accommodating on our tour. The other places we visited were a little more corporate and it did not seem so here. My dad is in the memory care unit and he has private room and private bathroom, it is very nice and spacious. In their dementia unit, they only have 16 rooms so there is better one on one care. The food here is very good and the chef will come out and talk to you one on one and make you what you would like if you do not like what is being served. I would highly recommend.
