Best Place for Mom in Memphis

Informative and Friendly
This is a pleasant place to be and the staff are very friendly. There are lots of activities available for the residents to participate in. The staff are great to work with if we have questions or concerns.
There are three meals a day served and the residents have choices to choose from for their meals.

Food has gone downhill
Unfortunately, the food in the dining hall has become quite problematic. There are lots of options but the food is poorly prepared. Fish is overcooked and dry to the point of being inedible. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are undercooked and unpleasantly crunchy. Seasonings seem non-existent.
Serving staff in the dining room are also not good these days. They range from brusque (slamming down food without comment) to downright rude.
Otherwise, the facilities remain excellent. It's a lovely building, the suites are pleasant, the pool is a great benefit, and so on.

Come join the family
Just like any place right now it is hard to have enough staff. Right now I think they are a little short in the dinning room but they go out of their way to make it an enjoyable evening. They are very personable and this is what its all about.They have a good variety of activities to make sure that everyone can choose what to do. They have entertainment with happy hour on Fridays and more. they also have a work out room and a pool, there is a lot to fit all the residents needs. The person in charge is phenomenal and makes every resident feel like they are the most important resident.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and the tour was good but we just did not like the location as much. Also the apartments were a lot smaller for the asking price.

I felt like it would be a good experience, and it has been.
There's nothing bad about Town Village at all. They're very friendly, the employees as well as the people that live here. They come clean the rooms every two weeks, and I think they do an adequate job. Overall the food is good, and there's plenty of it. But I think they could improve their menu a little bit. They have some things they don't do perfect, like the fried chicken is too brown. But overall I have no complaints. For activities, I've enjoyed the exercise classes, and they took us on riverboat ride, which turned out very nice. The resident pays for those types of excursions, but that's expected.

Started Out Good, but major bumps in the road
At first, they were great, but things have shifted. They just made kind of a tricky increase in monthly rent. They're no longer delivering the food due to Covid, but they're charging an exorbitant amount to do so if you request it. They reopened the dining room, and now they're charging an extreme amount, hundreds of dollars, to deliver meals. Even if you have a medical problem. and even with a doctor's report, they'll still charge you. My loved one tells me all the time she does enjoy the food though. The issue I've had with the staff is they have not been very friendly, and they're not friendly with my loved one because they don't want to be delivering her food, so they have an attitude about it. But the building is very clean, the bathrooms as well. The overall surroundings are very good and very clean. They've already starting implementing a lot of their community activities again after everyone has been vaccinated. My loved one really enjoys those. I love that they also work with her to get her to all of her appointments. They're very good about that. She still drives, but they will take her.

Town Village Audubon Park is managed by Grace Management, Inc., a senior housing management company. We take reviews of our company and community very seriously. Any claims about our services, associates, or support must be based in facts and supported as such. Our community was thrilled to once again fully open up our dining room in March 2021. At that time we re-implemented to-go and delivery services with the same charges that have been in place for years. Prior to the dining room reopening we met with residents regarding the dining experience and made sure to address any concerns or questions that were brought to us. When a resident returns from hospitalization we also give them 10 free days of meal deliveries. We would like to hear more from you and/or your loved one so we can work together and find the best way forward to ensure we are improving the service you have come to know at Town Village Audubon Park. A Very Nice Community
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. It was perfect for my loved one and what they needed. Moving into the community has been the best thing to happen to her.
The food has been delivered to the door of the resident due to the pandemic. The food is good according to my loved one. The dining room just opened back up to residents.

I'm Glad My Loved One Is Here - It's Been A Great Place
In Memphis, any place a step up is a huge increase in price, and any place a step down isn't any place you'd want your loved one to be. Town Village is perfectly priced for what they're doing. They're exceptionally user friendly. They're very responsive to both family and residents. They really strive to develop a community atmosphere, making sure the residents have plenty of options for things to do and plenty of freedom. It' a really wonderful place. The only remote downside is the food. With dietary restrictions, the kitchen is not as responsive as you would hope, but there's plenty of quantity and quality is pretty good.

My review of Town Village
We chose Town Village Audubon Park because of the convenient location, it is a comfortable environment, and she is liking where she is. The staff members here are always super friendly and helpful and we really like the nurse practitioner. Overall, it has been a good experience so far and we are ready for everything to open back up so she can participate in things that they have going on.

My mother and I toured this facility in our search. She absolutely LOVED this place and felt at home almost instantly. The apartments were spacious but not overwhelmingly large for her to maneuver. She liked the ability to order from a menu throughout the day rather than at specific meal times in case she had an appointment and missed the "regular" time. The people were so helpful and the residents all seemed to enjoy the lifestyle here. This is #1 on her list!!

Pros and cons of Town Village
The staff and all the residents are extremely friendly, and we are pleased with our two bedroom apartment. We would like f ew more choices of activities but have enjoyed the ones we've tried. The grounds are really kept nice and we were happy to decorate a space outside. The food is excellent but we would like a little enlarged dinner time as it is often too early for us. I would highly recommend Town Village to anyone.

Overall impressions of Town Village
Everyone, staff and residents are extremely friendly and helpful. Our large apartment is the best I viewed for us,and we were able to bring lots of furniture and accessories. I would like to see more game activities although there is a lot offered. The dining room is very loud but halls are quiet. Overall, we are very pleased.
