They are great at being "a family" and keeping everyone involved and special events. I know that my loved one is always safe and taken care of. I have no complaints about what they are doing, don't really see where they need major improvements. Every time I have visited my loved one, has always been clean, clean clothes, happy, their room is clean, and they are well fed, etc. There has not once been a "red flag". I have peace of mind knowing my loved one is being taken care of. The staff is always wonderful and friendly and the facility is very clean, neat, and orderly.... Read more

We had a fine tour at The Woodlake. Initially we thought they were a 5/5. After seeing another place, we thought they were still very good but more like 4.5/5. The memory care unit of the place we chose was just a little nicer and had more outdoor space.
Nice community, too far from family.
The establishment is super comfortable and welcoming. They are pretty responsive when a family member needs a meeting to go over any concerns. The staff all know my loved one by first name. They take time to get to know the family as well as the resident. It is never an easy choice to place your loved one but this place has done a 180 degree turn with my loved one. She has a great support system here and she is thriving.

My experience with the staff at The Woodlake has exceeded all my expectations. I am the only living relative to my cousin who suffers from dementia. I worked with a lot of people looking for a place that I would feel confident that my cousin would be well cared for. I worried about everything since I live 3000 miles away. I wanted to make sure she was in a clean, safe, loving environment. My friends go to visit my cousin and they also tell me how fortunate I was to discover The Woodlake on my search. I am sure from my nightly telephone chats my cousin thinks she’s living in a 5 star hotel. And that’s okay with me. Every staff person I have talked to has been polite and professional. I always feel they are doing the “right” thing and that my cousin is not being treated Ike an afterthought. This is a huge relief for me. I highly recommend The Woodlake.

The staff members are very interactive with the residents every time we come to visit. Instead of calling it the memory care, they call it the opal room so the memory care isn't s separated from the other parts of the facility. They do a great job integrating the memory care residents with the assisted living residents and they have a big calendar showing all the different activities going on each month. They are very inventive when it comes to new activities. The Woodlake is the best thing that could happen to our family, it has been such a positive experience.

The Woodlake was one of our top runners. It has a very nice atmosphere and the residents and staff members that we spoke to were friendly. Out of all the places we looked at, this one had the best room. The only reason we did not choose this facility was because they did not provide diabetic care.
We toured at The Woodlake a couple of different times, and we thought it was very nice. It was one of our top choices when we were still focusing on assisted living. We thought they had a good program, and the facility was very nice, bright, and clean. We were impressed with the staff. They were very nice, and very accommodating. We liked that they had plenty of activities. And they also had a nice perk we didn't see at other places - they had a guest room available for rent for your out-of-town/overnight visitors, sort of like a hotel. We ended up choosing another facility that had a concierge doctor service and was closer to us, but we really liked The Woodlake.
Seemed expensive but a nice place. Will need some more info on the pricing and if they also add level of care pricing.

The Woodlake is a beautiful facility. Easy drive from my home in West Sacramento. Pros: Both Assisted Living and Memory Care units felt very homey. Staff look happy - not stressed. Residents looked comfortable and content. My tour was at 1:30, so after lunch. I was pleased to see more activity than at other facilities I have toured….a good number of residents in the common areas. Many more were reportedly enjoying the movie. The ‘apartments’ are spacious and the shared bathroom is well-appointed. If in doubt about a single or double/shared apartment, the configuration of the shared apartment at The Woodlake is probably the best of two worlds because each suite has a bedroom with a shared bath in-between. Cons: I am a bit concerned about the food. I asked to see the lunch menu and it looked like mostly sandwiches. My mom is not a sandwich fan and although she does not eat much, good food is important to her. Overall I think this is a stellar facility with great attention to detail and an ‘OPAL’ program which clearly has been carefully developed and implemented to maximize the potential for a positive resident experience. I liked the room location they currently had available for my mom, which was based on a preliminary assessment of her needs. Pricing is competitive. The Woodlake is at the top of my list for now. Thank you to [name removed] and A Place For Mom.

From our understanding our loved one is very happy with the food. The activities are coming back so there is plenty to do if you want to participate. We are getting a good bargain, it is brand new and our loved one is getting good service.

We did an in person tour and the community was very nice. We were treated very well, and the location is very close to where we live. It was more expensive then what we were looking for but the set up was very nice. They have a shared bathroom, but you would have your own private bedroom.
My Mom has been in assisted living for 3+ years. I have appreciated all those who have supported my Mom over the years. It wasn't until I moved my Mom to the Woodlake that I could really appreciate the true commitment to senior care. At the Woodlake there are professionals in every role. From Care , Concierge, the Chef and the Support Staff everyone supports the Resident! My Mom is thriving at the Woodlake and I am forever grateful!
