Stop worrying about the house and start planning your next adventure.

At our continuing care retirement community (CCRC) just outside of Houston, you’ll have access to four levels of care on one campus. With independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing you’ll have the fun maintenance-free lifestyle you want plus care if and when you need it.

Join the walking club for some exercise, take the latest technology class, join in a friendly game of dominos or catch the latest movie or documentary in Club 1034. Here you can pursue your interests, hobbies and passions and we’ll support you along the way.  Retirement is the perfect time to pick up an old hobby or try a new one. Learn a new skill in one of our classes, be inspired by the latest film or be challenged in one of our fitness groups. Your day is your own—so what will you choose? To help you get some ideas started, here are a few of our recent favorites:
•Themed dinner dances
•Game nights
•Tech exploration
•Art classes
•Shopping trips
•Fitness classes
•Museum visits
•Restaurant outings
•Group trips
•Cruises

With a selection of floor plans to choose from, you’ll find just the right fit for the home you want. With features like these, you’ll feel right at home:
•Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments
•Plenty of natural window light
•Lots of storage with spacious closets.
•Pet-friendly
•Kitchen
•Utilities and maintenance included
•Fewer worries with fewer bills
•Patio or balcony available with select floor plans

Imagine waking up and enjoying a swim in our outdoor, heated pool before stopping by the library to pick out a new novel. You can take a walk on our walking paths, or practice your swing on the putting green. Meet friends for happy hour at the pub, or stop by the cafe bistro for a light snack. It’s your choice. This is maintenance-free living at its best.

With our continuum of care options, you’ll be prepared with the care you might need down the road. If you need skilled nursing care while recovering from surgery, no problem. Need an extra hand with daily activities like medication management or dressing? We’ve got that, too.
That means you won’t have to change communities again, even if you or your spouse need more care later. You’ll be able to stay together, on the same campus close to friends, enjoying the same lifestyle in the community you already love. And for your peace of mind, our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency.
Did you know our community offers both rental and Life Care options?

In the rental program, you pay a monthly rental fee based on the level of care and services you need— with no buy-in fee. That means you or a loved one move into whatever level of care you need—for instance, assisted living or skilled nursing.

For the Life Care program, you’ve got two costs to consider, and even more financial gains.  Let’s start with the upfront buy-in fee. The amount of the fee depends on your floor plan, services, and the Life Care contract you choose. It’s the buy-in fee that makes the Life Care guarantee with Brookdale possible.* The other cost is the monthly service fee, which is based on the type of accommodations and your level of care.

With our Life Care option, you can make your assets last longer with substantial health, financial and lifestyle benefits. Most important in that list is the care for life guarantee*. This unique benefit guarantees that even if your financial resources are eventually exhausted due to no fault of your own you’ll still have the care you need.*

*The Life Care guarantee is subject to the terms and conditions of the Residency Contract.

  • Dont be fooled

I'm not sold on this place. My Dad is in the skilled nursing unit. Most of the CNA's in this unit are very rude. [name removed] is one of them. When you ask them for something, they tell you they dont have time. They walk in with a scowl on their face and not pleasant to deal with. At 4 am, two CNA's come in, flip on lights without warning to change your loved one. They cut up, laugh loud, and gossip about other employees. When you complain to the supervisor [name removed], that's if you get to talk to her, you're not taken seriously and the CNA doesn't get told anything. It's all smoke and mirrors, the staff isn't any better than other places. There's more to tell, I just dont have the time to tell. Just know that when your loved one is admitted to skilled nursing, please physically check on them daily and be prepared for neglect of your loved ones and putting up with rude staff cause they dont think twice about being sassy or giving dirty looks.

  • The perfect home!

I LOVE living at the Village at Gleannloch Farms! I am SO grateful to [Name removed] for finding it for me. I had used A Place for Mom ten years ago when looking for a place for MY mom and I was SO happy with the experience. So when my husband and I started having serious health issues I placed a call to A Place For Mom with no hesitation! The call was picked up by an incredible advisor, [Name removed]! :-) She listened so carefully and started to work on the perfect place for us. The place she found was beyond my greatest expectations and although it was fairly close to where we lived I would never have found it on my own. [Name removed] was always a quick phone call or email away as I went through the process that lead to finding The Village at Gleannloch Farms and the subsequent move-in. VGF has all levels of care which was very important to me. It even has independent living cottages which are really beautiful and have lawns (maintained by the facility), garages, a place for flower beds, etc. We settled on a two bedroom apartment in independent living. Many of the residents have lived here since it opened 10 years ago. All residents are happy, friendly, and caring. The administration and staff are incredible! They are caring, involved in the every day life of the residents, and always ready to listen. There are many activities such as outings, card games and other types of games. I love that there are jigsaw puzzles all over the building. In my current situation it is hard to plan ahead to take part in the organized activities but I love doing the jigsaw puzzles. The residents are very involved with day to day activities, doing what they love. Some garden, some help with decorating the facility, some help with arranging flowers for the chapel and the tables in the dining room, some serve on resident advisory councils, etc, etc, etc. Some (like me) are not able to do any of these activities right now and that is fine too! Everyone is accepted and loved. They have a program called "Personalized Living" which offers transportation to appointments, etc,, caregivers if needed at any level, pet sitting if needed, etc. The food is delicious! My grandchildren are able to spend the night or weekend just as if I still lived in my previous home. My family visits often and is able to join me in the dining room for meals. AND, maybe the very best thing of all - I was able to bring my two cats! Thank you [Name removed] and A Place for Mom - you are amazing!

  • Very friendly, clean, happy clients, great menu, but no fenced in place for our dog. Lots of things going on. No trees, not close to our doctors/hospitals. We need to work with our sons to determine what we can afford, but the rooms were small, some not room enough for my sewing machine.
