The staff were all fantastic! Friendly, helpful and caring.

Our family had an virtual tour and it was amazing we had a really good experience with the gentlemen who gave the tour. He followed up with us after the fact and unfortunately we could not go with The Manor because of families situation had changed very quickly

My mother- in-law moved from an apartment in Queens after partially recovering from a fall. The Manor was the ideal place to bring her. The layout of the rooms was perfect for making her very comfortable. Right from the first day she felt at home. The manor staff was always there when needed, being caring and helpful. Her aides where outstanding, making her comfortable and doing what was best for her.
Although, because of the effects of her fall, she could not partake in the activities, she greatly enjoyed meals in the dining room with the new friends she made. In net the Manor was the perfect place for her.
My review of The Manor at Woodside
The staff members here are higher than 5 stars. The meals aren't the best right now, but that is because we just got a new chef and they are changing up the menu, but the dining service is really good. I do think the value for cost is a tad pricey.

My mom lived here for about three years until her recent passing. The staff made our time at the Manor work for my mom and our family. They made sure her apartment was maintained and everything she needed was there. They helped us find a caregiver when we needed one. They provided as much recreation and entertainment as possible, given the constraints of the pandemic. The Manor staff did a fantastic job of keeping the residents safe during this difficult time, and went out of the way to help our family stay connected, even setting up zoom visits on their laptop for Mom. Independent living + helpful amenities

Hoping to convince my elderly mother-in-law to move closer to family, my husband and I recently looked at the Manor at Woodside, a senior apartment complex that combines independent living with accessible amenities. The studio apartment we looked at includes a small kitchenette, although she would eat her daily meals in the spacious dining room (included in the monthly fee). While it’s not an assisted living facility, the Manor has affordable caregivers (home health aides) onsite to provide help with residents’ personal needs (independently operated & not included in monthly fee). We found the atmosphere at the Manor very welcoming. The building is bright and clean, with wide, well-lighted hallways. [name removed], the Director of Sales, is very personable and was incredibly helpful. He and General Manager, [name removed], listened attentively and offered suggestions for her smooth transition. Although Mom has resisted our efforts so far, we know [name removed]will be our first call if she changes her mind.

We did a virtual tour with The Manor at Woodside because it was during covid. The facility was very nice and we really liked it, but it came down to location and this one was further from our loved ones doctors.

The staff overall is very caring, and they go out of their way to try and make the residents happy and comfortable. If there are any issues, they certainly try to resolve them. The food looks very good. The place is clean, and they make an effort to keep surfaces clean. Because of Covid, they haven't been doing some of the activities. But as far as I know, the residents have all been vaccinated now, and they're getting back to activities. It looks like they have a full calendar of things to do, and a bus to take the residents on outings. So there's plenty to do if they want to join in. I would definitely recommend The Manor at Woodside.

Very nice, very pleasant. The monthly fee is a bit intimidating for someone who will be living by himself and preparing most of his own meals. Still, the place has good vibes and is worth considering.

Our loved one is happy at The Manor at Woodside so that means we are happy as well. The facility is clean, she says the food is good, and the staff members have been great.

My grandma was at the manor, and I always enjoyed the snack room as well as sharing meals with her. The food was great, as well as the snack room was always stocked. The general manager, [name removed] always gave us a warm welcome, and was extremely nice to my grandma who loves him as well. It was also nice to be able to relax with her in the recreation room with the pool table, and the tv with my siblings, as well as the property’s always in tip top shape with the flowers, and statues, as well as I enjoyed how there was always activities to do such as nail painting and the occasional movies. I totally recommend the manor to anyone who is looking for a warm, and welcoming environment/ place to live.

My mother in law was at the manor. The staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to be sure she was ok and that she was getting out of her room when she was feeling down. I was always surprised how well the staff knew little things about her and seemed to truly care about her well being even during her most trying times.
The room was always clean as is the entire place.
The manager [name removed] , who was my introduction to the manor, was an ever present friendly face and reassuring word. You can tell he loves his job and the residents definitely love him. He is a great asset!
The additional care she received from aides and nurses was excellent, in particular her aide [name removed] who really took a special interest in her and was so helpful to me. I appreciate the manor and would definitely recommend it!!

My husband and I were looking into senior community for my second aunt and her husband. After visiting few places we were not satisfied with what we saw, it was very frustrating for us. Someone at Lutheran Care Nursing home asked us to visit Manor at Woodside in Poughkeepsie NY. We went to visit without getting exited, we didn’t know what to expect after going through some communities. At our arrival sales person was very friendly and Knowledgeable, he carefully listened to our needs and then showed us how our Aunt and her husband will thrive out there. People were very friendly, we didn’t see a lot of furniture in the common areas but we were told that it was because of the pandemic, so they can keep social distance. After 45 minutes we agreed this is the place for them.
I came to Manor at Woodside with our family, trying to find a place where my Aunt would have a better quality of life. She was discouraged, lonely and almost giving up after coming out of a rehab in the area. Went and met with the sales person at the manor, he showed us around. Pleace was clean and well kept, even though there were a few spots that need some care but he told us they were under some remodeling and the pandemic set them back, but residents were happy, they even say hi to us and we were very pleased. Staff seems on point, so we have decided that manor was that place we were looking for. She moved in few weeks ago and she is very happy.

Hi, I am a friend of a family that recently moved in at Manor at Woodside. Residents here seems very happy. My friend’s aunt always was complaining she was lonely at home and now she has friends and for our surprise she is going to activities. Place is clean and the staff is awesome. Food can be improved a little bit but over all I will say this is a place I would like to be when I get old.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, my mother had to leave her assisted living facility in early March, transfer to a nursing home and then in June find a new assisted living facility at the height of the Covid 19 crisis.
[name removed] - an angel on earth - helped get me a room for her at the Manor at Woodside, the perfect room, right across from the elevator...he gave me a virtual tour and weekly phone calls until the day came that she could move in.
My mother is doing really well in spite of the fact that most amenities have been shut down due to Covid. Chair exercise classes have resumed, as has BINGO and the residents can go out on the patio or into the Library to socialize.
Mom says that the food is good, although she wishes they were serving in the dining room - which is halted due to an abundance of caution - so they deliver all 3 meals to the room each day.
The Manor at Woodside is impeccably clean, with no "senior living smell" and her laundry gets done and her room cleaned without ever having to ask.
The staff at the Manor at Woodside treats every resident like they are their own family. I couldn't ask for a nicer place to have my mom living, with a more caring and considerate staff.

My girlfriends dad recently moved to the manor. People are friendly, residents seems very happy, and the best part is that my girlfriend’s dad is not calling 200 times a day anymore. Thank you Manor at Woodside, mission accomplished.

The whole staff at the Manor at Woodside have all been so friendly and personable in making the transition into the new apartment for my grandparents as easy as possible. The communication between myself, my family, and the Manor has been professional, and timely. They have been working with us and guiding us in what we need to know for doctors, transportation for appointments, aids, and more. They have been great to work with, and we are very satisfied with the service thus far.

It says so much about a facility when local hospitals and met staff recommend this manor
