The Homestead offers individualized plans of care coordinated by a registered nurse. You choose when and how to receive services and what activities and amenities you desire. The Homestead at Maplewood also provides a 16 apartment memory support community in a secure, homelike setting with structured programming that emphasizes activity-focused care. As part of the Maplewood Campus, The Homestead at Maplewood also provides priority access to Maplewood Care Center for long-term care and short-term rehabilitation.
The Homestead at Maplewood is proud to have served the community for over 23 years. Since its opening in 1995, The Homestead at Maplewood has been owned and operated by Volunteers of America. The Homestead was voted "Best Assisted Living Facility for Seniors" for 2017, 2016 and 2015. Our management team has longevity with most of us having worked for Volunteers of America for over 8 years.
We are located off of Highway 36 and White Bear Avenue. The Maplewood Mall, Target, Aldi, Wal-Mart and several restaurants are within a short driving distance which allows for us to bring residents on shopping trips and other fun, enriching outings. We also have a full calendar of events to meet the interests of our residents. We have entertainment scheduled regularly, as well as, spiritual programs and educational activities. We also have weekly intergenerational programs where the residents and children can do crafts together, play games, do sing-a-longs and socialize.
