Great Memory Care Unit
My 91 year-old father has been at the Fountains in Cartersville for over 2 1/2 years with slow but steadily increasing dementia. The Memory Care team, as well as the whole facility staff, have been wonderful. They are loving and caring with my Dad and open and communicative with me. There have been a few small issues but everyone is accessible and responsive to his changing needs and any of my questions and/or concerns. Alzheimer's/dementia can be a difficult path for the patient, their loved ones and the people who care for them. Our choice of The Fountains for my Dad has been a blessing on this journey.

Total lack of care and concern
Never consider this facility for your loved ones.
We were looking for an assisted living facility for my mother-in-law. The top one on our list was The Fountains. On our tour, we were charmed. The facility is clean, well designed, and beautiful. My mother-in-law liked the facility, and we did too.
The staff were unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Many times, my mother-in-law was left in the dining room alone for up to one hour. After a recent fall that resulted in a broken hip we were lied to about the circumstances of her fall. After 2 1/2 weeks, no one has called to see how she's doing. She won't be returning to such inconsistent care.

The cleanliness I needs help, the carpet is filthy. Mom has trouble falling and she is falling into carpet that has [removed] all over it. Would you want your face in [removed]. She can’t help her problem but the Fountains owes her better after 4 years in residence.
The Executive Director advised us it would be replaced, but it hasn’t been, I don’t like being lied too!
Now the staff that works with mom everyday works very hard, and are very patient with mom! They are just understaffed!

Nice community with a lot of room for improvement.
We like the facility itself and some staff are very caring, however some staff is the opposite of caring. They appear to also be understaffed, leaving my mother unattended for a much for as much as 1 1/2 hours after she pushes her call button. If it wasn't such a pain to move her we would.

A happy place!
I love this place. There are always fun things going on there. . If you’ve ever thought of placing a loved one in assisted living, go to some of their functions to get a feel.[name removed] is always recruiting volunteers and makes the place comfortable and fun for the residents.

Mom is home and safe
We recently relocated my mother-in-law to Georgia and wanted to find her a special assisted living place to call home. We looked at the possibilities and scheduled appointments. At The Fountains of Cartersville, we walked into a bright, clean, and welcoming entry. We were greeted by the Sales Director, [name removed]. Her bright and bubbly personality and knowledge of the facility enhanced our tour. After having lunch and meeting their chef, we cancelled our other appointments. This is the assisted living place for us. The staff is attentive, and daily activities are interesting. My mother-in-law is settled in and happy. We are glad we found such a wonderful place.

Wonderful Staff with Huge Hearts
my father-in-law is a resident in memory care, and we cannot say enough good things about it. We never worry we know he’s safe and his quality of life is always the upmost importance.! The staff have been incredibly welcoming! They have been very helpful to provide information and assistance, even before move-in. [name removed], in particular, has been especially generous with her time and expertise. She has really gone far beyond her role as Marketing Director to facilitate our becoming part of the community. Head Nurse [name removed] has also been very kind. Facility has declined since Navion took ownership
Since [date removed] the facility has lost over a dozen tenured CNA employees. The physical facility is not as clean as it once was, inside and outside are in need. The food is below standard after Navion changed vendors in [date removed]. Food choices and menus are limited by Navion rules. Wait times are long after necklace pager is activated. Second and overnight shifts are staffed by agency employees.

It's a clean, lovely and welcoming facility. Nice space and grounds. They've had a lot of turnover and staffing problems but it's improved since they got a director of clinical services. Now--although they've just lost their wonderful activities coordinator (so that a new problem)-- they seem to be working hard at making the place excellent.

The staff was very helpful with us getting him in quickly in an emergency situation. He absolutely loves the food that is served. The room sizes are pretty small and we had to provide a lot of the furniture other than the bed. Overall we would recommend The Fountains of Cartersville to others.

Everybody is Happy There
Mom is really happy and doing really good. She's eating three meals a day and walking by herself to the dinning room and back. So she's getting a lot more exercise than I could get her to do when she was with me. I like that the residents are not just sitting around - they're more active than at other places we toured. And there are all kinds of things for them to do, including exercise classes and bus outings. And everybody I come across just looks happy.

Our family had an in person tour and The Fountains community was gorgeous, it was so beautiful. Unfortunately they did not have space available for our loved one and we needed to move them in immediately. If we ever had to move our loved one we will put moving them into The Fountains.

Would highly recommend the community
Everything that we have been able to see of the community it is very clean, and they are delivering the meals to our loved ones room and she says they are delicious. They keep a list of activities on a table where we can look through and it seems like that have a lot of internal things to do, and they even take the residents out on outings. They are taking great care of our loved one.
