They are under new management, so I think they are still working out the kinks. It is definitely a work in progress. It's nice and 'affordable' for me, but I think it will take some time for them to get re-staffed and back to normal.... Read more

Community Tour

It was a brand new facility and a beautiful place. The rooms were nice. The staff was very, very nice. With my mom having dementia, I was just concerned about the size of the facility. I was afraid she would get lost.

Good place for loved one

This is a good place for your loved one. It has independent, assisted and memory care so it has the full range of any care that may be needed for your loved one. They have activities like bingo, trips, music concerts, bbqs and more for the residents to stay busy and active in the community.

tour review

Our family had an in person tour and this community has all the bells and whistles, it reminds us of the Ritz-Carlton hotel. It is super pretty on the outside and has all the current up to date things. The staff is highly trained in sales and it seemed like they were trying to meet a monthly goal and not being as personable if we would have preferred. However if you have the money and like living the "high life" this is definitely the place.

The Blake changed owner in the past six months that is concerning . Could not see the apartment we were interested in . Could not answer all my questions . Tour guide was friendly but seem she did not have all the answers .place seen enclosed and dark Views from room not exciting at all you either look at a pool or a canal . Lots of carpet in rooms , room would looked at had not been redone as yet .

Life Is Good Here at The Blake

The staff were very friendly, the rooms are ample, and all utilities are provided. We don't have any complaints. The communication is good with the staff. It has been difficult during the pandemic to socialize with the residents. However, we are starting to get out an about more. They have lots of opportunities to get involved into activities here. There is transportation for residents that would like to use it.

Better before the Pandemic.

If the current Covid -19 continue I would say it is not worth the money. If they are able to do the things and services they were prior to the virus I would say, yes it is worth the cost. The food was better when it was served in the dining room. The room sizes are good and the layout of the community is good.

Very new facility, therefore the staff lacks experience. There is medical staff on-site. Due to the physical size of the facility, my mom would not be able to handle the independent living setting and would need to go straight to assisted living. Continuity of care from independent living, to assisted living, to memory care.
