About the agency

Returning home after a major incident, such as a surgery or perhaps a fall, can be daunting. Recovery restrictions can leave us feeling helpless and lost. At Talem Home Care of Milwaukee, we offer around-the-clock home care services for those living in the West Allis, Wisconsin area. For over 17 years, our team has provided a supportive environment and innovative community-based long-term care programs for a variety of individuals, ranging from the elderly who simply need companionship, to young adults in need of rehabilitative services.

Our goal is to empower people to experience the full joy of living, no matter their circumstances. The last thing we want is for a potential client to feel like they cannot afford the services we offer, which is why we offer our Veterans Program for those who qualify for VA Aid and Attendance.

Talem Home Care offers a vast array of non-medical services in order to accommodate individual needs. So whether your loved one needs someone to stop in for a few hours each week or 24 hour care, our caregivers will be there to help. Let us help ease the burdens of everyday life with services such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry. Small tasks...

Unprofessional and inconsistent

It was hard to set up something with them a lot of times. Or you'd have it set up and someone would suddenly not show up or go on vacation. Even the person who was in charge of Talem wasn't readily available to discuss any issues we were having. We ended up realizing we were wasting our time with them, so we ended up not using them anymore. They were very inconsistent. We couldn't really get a consistent caregiver for my loved one. They were always bringing in more people. There was one we kind of liked, but she was always going on vacation And then they'd send someone else that day. I was very unhappy with them overall.

Good experience

We have had some issues with the care, they did get a little careless one time with my wife. But overall the staff have been friendly and they are on time and show up when they are scheduled to. I would recommend them to others looking.

Didn't Work for Me

After two days I canceled the service due to the staff member not able to cook. I was wanting more care for my loved one.

Would not recommend

I would want others to know that we did not have a good experience with Talem Home Care. We only had them for a short time and fired them because most of the time their help was either late or they did not show up at all. When we called the office they said they were working on it, we called at 9AM and by 1PM there was still no help. One time this happened to us 4 days in a row. We would not recommend them.
