The staff members are wonderful and when we first came to see Summer Vista we were immediately sold. All of the care workers have been amazing - a few of them have gone out of their way to create a bond with our loved one, they have really taken to her. The meals and dining service is pretty good even when they have to close the dining room down for covid. A few times a day they work on physical therapy and other forms of therapy with our loved one.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour and the people were very nice there, but it was not as clean and the layout was just not going to work for our loved one.
If your loved one is indepent than this is a good fit. My mom did fine since she was able to bathe herself and walk around. Management changed twice in the 8 months she was there. Keep a close eye on your loved one if they need any assistance. Some of the staff is more caring than others.

Summer Vista was our second choice, we did really like this facility. But after a couple of other tours, we found another place that was a better fit for our loved one.
The layout of the facility was good and I liked that along with the accessibility. The community is short-staffed but that is an issue everywhere. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
I recommended the community to a friend. My mom loves it here. It is extremely clean, the staff is wonderful and friendly. Some of the response time could be improved to the resident's call buttons. The staff are efficient, as well.
I would tell others that I have been dissatisfied with the nursing staff, handling of medications, the food, it is just not a good experience. The administrative staff has changed twice since being here, the ones here now are better than the ones before. I would not recommend to others looking
Covid made things difficult, the activities were limited due to all of the restrictions. Through time the communication got better however it was just not a good fit our loved one.
You need to monitor your loved one's care no matter where your loved one is at. I would recommend this community to others. Overall we really like this community.
We are thankful for this community. The community is unbelievable and amazing. They have lots of activities, the care the residents receive is amazing. The staff is wonderful.
They have activities starting again because of COVID, there was a delay. Summer Vista is a wonderful place. The residents and staff are nice and friendly.

They are amazing at Summer Vista! Staff is quick to respond to needs! So thankful for Summer Vista
Great Activities! Very warm atmosphere makes you feel at home. Staff is very friendly.
If you are looking for independent living this is a good place, but assisted living has very limited help and like others have said calls go unanswered and the service is very poor. They seem more concerned with saving money then truly taking care of the residents. Medical assistance to patient ratio is poor and there is never enough staff on duty after hours. Some of the medical staff is great, but others are not and these are nurses!! Food quality is on the par with most hospital food, not an upscale assisted living facility. Many times there is only ONE person serving in the kitchen and sometimes that is the kitchen manager. Seems to be getting worse instead of better. Seriously considering moving. This is just the truth. Like others, have addressed these issues only to go unheard.
It looks great, is clean, and is affordable. I believe the assisted living part would be a good place for independent living, but be very cautious about choosing it if you or a loved one needs assistance. It was usually difficult to find anyone to help after the office staff left at 5:00. The dining hours are limited, and the staff in the dining room is as well. The receptionists were always friendly and welcoming. The nursing office staff was adequate. We felt the management and resident assistants however were unfriendly, and uncaring. Calls for help in the room were not always answered, and when they were, the staff showed up late and sometimes acted indignant. We had enough disappointing experiences there that it prompted us to leave for fear of injury and neglect.
