A nice place for your loved one when they can't care for themselves.

Overall it's very nice. But it could use some improvements here and there. My mom tells me the food is not so good and is served cold. Also getting baths has not been a good experience for her. She tells me they can be a little rough and impatient. But the staff is always polite, and the place is always very clean and nicely kept up. It has a homey feel to the lobby. It doesn't feel institutionalized in its appearance. The décor there is very nice. I wouldn't hesitate putting her there again or recommending it to others based on what I've heard about other places in the area. The majority of the staff there have been very good, and any issues we've had they've handled very well. They kept me informed, followed up, and resolved the issue. They've been very good at communicating. With the hurricane, they sent emails out every 2-3 days and did a great job keeping families informed as to their plan for situations that arose.... My tour review

I did not like this community. It was just not the right environment for us. The location was okay but it is right near a hospital and we felt like this would make it a little busy. The place was nice and suitable but the apartment seemed smaller. They also did not have a garden area or any time of outside entertainment that me and my husband would have been to enjoy.

Community tour

I had a good tour with St. Anthony's and felt that they had a lot to offer. It was close in comparison to the other facilities that I was looking into.

Tour of St. Anthony's Gardens

We did not have a good tour. The staff were impersonal and they could not get us out of there fast enough, they really could not have cared less about the tour.

Has gone downhill

My Mother is in Memory Care and has been neglected and talked rudely to. The staff rarely helps her put her hearing aide in and has lost her hearing aide twice, The staff does not put her diapers on at night and then speak harshly to her when she gets up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and then falls. The cafeteria people lack patience and have been rude to her. This place lacks sincere caring and qualified people. They also have little systems in place to handle every day responsibilities and communications with family members is less than poor.

Disappointed

My son was hired by St. Anthony’s. I was impressed they hired him with a disability that he was up front with in the interview. They said they were committed to work with him. For 8 months they did. A situation came up that I was called about. They said he was feeling really stressed and in support of him they suggested he take his 2 weeks vacation that he earned and rest. One week into the vacation st Anthony’s called him and said he would not be coming back. This has crushed my child. Thanks for the guts of doing it over the phone and crushing my son after giving him hope. This one phone call has single handily shaken my child’s trust in believing people at their word. Thanks for taking the cowardly way out of a phone call and also avoiding my call for an explanation. [name removed]

Truly a beautiful setting. The community and the staff really made me feel comfortable. I spoke with several staff members while there. The only negative (if it is one) is that storage in the room is lacking. They only had 1 very small cabinet that is used as a closet. I can see my mom enjoying her days here.
