This independent living community features updated interiors with homey decor to create a comforting environment for residents.
To simplify residents’ responsibilities so they can focus on their interests, Solstice Senior Living at Groton offers a variety of services including scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping, emergency call systems, 24-hour access to urgent care through telehealth services, and personalized in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Freshly prepared menu options are served in a restaurant-style setting and have been approved by a dietitian to ensure nutritional quality. The community’s culinary team creates menus inspired by residents’ favorite homestyle dishes and seasonal ingredients.

Nearly at Home-Living
They offer activites daily, and three meals per day. Overall, they were available to meet with me, and answer any questions that I had. They need to improve on their Wi-Fi services. I would recommend to other famlies, because they offer meals, and have activities. It is as accomodating, and as welcoming as it can be. For the price, it's worth what it costs.

Would Absolutely Recommend
You can have peace of mind knowing that your family member is in a place where they'll be taken care of. They're served food three times a day. There's a washer and dryer right outside their door. So you don't have to worry. The apartment is small but perfect for a single person. And my loved one gets along with everybody.

Would Recommend
They were great all the way through. I was really pleased that I was able to find something that worked for my loved one that we were able to afford. The apartment was great. They had it repainted and put in a new floor before she moved in. They're updating things regularly and taking care of the facility well. She wasn't able to experience the social aspects as much since she declined and ended up needing assisted living, but that was not on Solstice at all.

our experience
Our loved one was a resident at Solstice and it is a very old building that really needs some upkeep, it almost seemed a little depressing and just disappointing. Once they started loosing their staff everything went downhill - house keeping suffered, as well as the food and transportation.

our families experience
Solstice Senior Living basically saved our loved ones life. She is very satisfied with the cleanliness of the community and the staff there are very friendly. With the activities she does get involved in she really enjoys them. Overall she does enjoy the food but she says they do serve a lot of cheese and milk products and that is something our loved one needs to stay away from. Based on our overall experience we would recommend this community to other families.

Exactly what we were looking for
This is a perfect community for your loved one. They have some type of activity for everyone at this community. They have different card games, and different activities based on different cultures and countries. The staff are extremely helpful and is always there answering questions. Anything that we need they are always there for us and our loved one.

Mom is happy
My mom is very very happy here at Solstice Senior Living and that is the best that I could ask for. She is participating in the activities provided and has had no complaints at all about the food. So far things are going well and we are super pleased with the experience.

Enjoy your final years in pleasure
The value for the money is excellent. They are pet friendly and can generally give you a ground floor apartment. We also have 5 raised flower bends that residents are able to tend too, it is a big plus. They have so many activities provided, something is going on at all times. The apartment sizes are great. I do think that they need new carpeting in hallways. Meals are suitable and you have a good variety to choose from. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

Our loved one is really enjoying the meals and dining as well as the activities. We were very impressed the minute we walked into this community, it is very pretty and extremely clean. The staff members are very professional and down to earth towards the residents. The elderly residents there are very with it, you can tell they are really enjoying it. Solstice is a very good community and just very impressive.

Great living experience
We chose Solstice Senior Living because I thought the friendliness and follow up from the staff members was great. The price was also a bargain, the facility looked clean and it is in a good area. I think the apartment sizes here are adequate. The food here is good, they do provide a menu with choices to choose from. Overall it is a great place and we have no complaints at all. I would not hesitate putting a family member here.

Convenient, all-inclusive, but costly
It's really hard to say because things have been pretty different than they would be normally because of Covid. There haven't been a lot of activities. One thing my loved one didn't like is the size of the apartments - they are very small. And the food wasn't as good as they tried to make it out to be. The vegetables were lousy, and there wasn't a lot of variety for breakfast. The staff seem very caring. They just didn't always have answers for specific questions my loved one had. We liked that everything is all-inclusive. It might have been a different experience if visitors had been able to come and go freely, if more activities were going on, if there had been access to the dining room, including the all-day dining experience they described to us. As it was, it felt more like a nursing home. I understand that was all due to Covid, but we ended up moving to senior apartments.

My Review of Solstice Senior Living at Groton
Last year a loved one came to take a tour. I would recommend you be careful as they tell you things that aren't true.
There is no bus or transportation to go to the bank or shopping. There is no bus driver. We wanted to go to a specific town and thought the community would take us and they won't go to the city.
The food quality is a problem. We are working on getting the food improved.
The just reopened the dining room this weekend. There was only one juice available and it was limited choices of drinks.

Happy with my choice
I chose Solstice Senior Living because of the value for the money, the location is near my family, and I was able to go to a place that offered independent living not assisted living. The apartment sizes here are adequate, I am on the first floor and have a patio so I can sit outside. I gave the food a 3 because of the quality, the portion sizes are small, and it is cold. Also, what they list is not always what I get. I am concerned about that because I am diabetic. Overall, I am very satisfied with where I am, it is very convenient and other than the food I have no complaints. I would recommend this facility to anybody.

A new beginning!
Solstice Senior Living is very clean and the staff are wonderful we haven't had any issues. It is definitely worth every penny, it was the least expensive community in our area. They have been very cooperative even with the recent transitions they are going through with some new staff members. With COVID we haven't really been able to see what is going on, however i do get to visit once a week and they do have a very nice library and small projects the residents can work on. The also did outside concerts while the weather was nice.

It is a cruise ship on land
The staff are wonderful. We were so pleased when we visited this community, that we didn't not go visit any others. I was so impressed with the director. She was very accommodating, helpful, and made us feel very comfortable. She was very transparent about their shortfalls and I appreciated how she was open, honest, and forthcoming. On move in day. the director personally brought our family a tray of lunch foods. We also got to choose flooring and paint color for his apartment. My father is so happy there as well, and it a huge relief to me that he is well cared for. I thank god that I got him in there. It is like resort style living. The transportation staff are so friendly and take the residents all of the places they need to go. The activities of plentiful. They have a library, a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace and a piano, a nail and hair salon all in a beautiful country setting. The food is good. It is wonderful that he has three cooked meals a day with menu options and a 24 hour snack and coffee bar.

Top notch experience
We were limited by resources and time when looking for a place for my 63 year old brother
We met with [name removed] and toured the place without [name removed] and then with him. I was concerned that it would not work for him. He was coming here after a 35 day hospital stay and 25 more days of rehab.
We have [name removed] as home health aid who is fabulous and affordable checking on him twice daily. The Apartment is beautiful. The maintenance staff including weekly Housekeeping is great. I’m here quite often to visit and haven’t seen my brother this happy in years and years.
