Silver bluff Grove has been a night and day experience for our family compared to our loved ones precious community. The staff members really seem to be very aware of our loved ones - they are constantly looking out for her and know when she is coming and going and that is the most important thing to us. We have not had experience with the meals, dining service or activities but we do know our loved one goes to the dining hall so we have to assume the meals are good. I toured this facility and it wasn't what we were looking for. It didn't feel as homey. They did have in house Physical Therapy, which was great. But overall, it felt more like an insitution/skilled nursing feel. Not the best fit for us.

This is a good place to put your loved one. The staff really care about the residents and they only want what is best for them. i have had a pretty good experience overall with this community. THey have activities like bingo, coloring, painting and more for the residents to do, they also have puzzles for them too. The tour was nice and I was please with what all I seen.

Our family had an in person tour and this community is very nice, but we did not like the room layout. Instead of having a separate area for a bedroom, living room or kitchen it was just one big room.

My mother in law was there for 3 weeks. This was last June . Place appears very short of staff and not clean. We Trusted the individual who told us what to expect from Harbor Chase. Very sadly, we were mislead . My MIL was there 3 weeks and fell, did not know how to call for help,. Bed was not being made, shower curtain was not put up after a week, pictures not hung and upon moving her out , found that the original plastic covering on mattress was still on and no mattress pad was used just her sheets. After her fall , the 2 rd PT session revealed a mark change and PT ( who was a contract) agency) felt she needed to be re evaluated. The PT and myself got her in the car and no one from the facility came out to see her or help us. Met with director and head nurse to discuss our concerns, in room found dead bugs on window ledge , told room not used much! *Tried 5 times to contact main office, NEVER return call. Apparently starts at the top! Being a nurse myself , I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Communication could be better between the staff and the family, but they do return calls in a timely manner. Overall the community has been pretty good. They have had a good god covid and have kept the residence safe. I would recommend this community to others

I would not recommend this community. I expected better communications from the staff, I also would have liked more effort with communicating with my mother also.

My mom was injured and they did not contact me to let me know. When I saw her injury no one knew what had happened or let me know she was hurt. Communication was not good in this community and I would not recommend this community.

We chose HarborChase of Aiken because I visited and got information and they offered what we needed. I do wish I would have asked for a tour of the respite area before we chose it. The room size was very good for what she needed, it was accessible for her walker. I would recommend to others looking.

I brought my mother home, but I might be sending her back there. It was an average place. COVID ruined it for everyone. I didn't think they did anything wrong, I took her out due to COVID. If it weren't for COVID, she'd still be there. My mother has been in 3 or 4 different communities and they cost more money.

Not the best but it's better than most. Mother is 92 and has arthritis very bad. None of the activities interest her. She cannot walk very far, so outside activities are not for her.

I had my loved one at two different facilities (within 1yr.) before finding this gem! I am so pleased and blessed to have my loved one at Harbor Chase ( thanks to a place for mom) The personalized care, comfort, and quality that is given to him is priceless. I feel at peace now knowing that he is well taken care of. the staff, maintenance, and director of activities go far above and beyond to meet his needs, And all that reside there (from what I see when I visit) Thank you, Harbor Chase. Personnel were helpful and well-informed. The layout of the building was confusing to get around; my mother who has memory problems would be getting lost all the time. Not a good choice for her.

I enjoyed my tour here and the staff was so very nice, they answered all my questions. I like the look of the rooms and they offered some nice amenities for their residents as well. Since my friend is in a wheelchair I was concerned about him moving around and that he would have enough staff to help should he need it. All in all, this was a nice community.

Extremely pleased with facility. Every staff member we came in contact with was so friendly. Place was clean as could be. Went with the smaller bedroom which was still very roomy. Of course the main concern was whether my mother would like it. She fell in love with it and can't wait to move in.
