So far so good. It seems like they do include our loved one, and everybody speaks to her and greets her as she moves around. The staff seem really friendly and nice, and they call the residents by name. The care seems to be good as well. They call once a month to give us updates, unlike other facilities we've had her at. And they ask if we have any concerns that we've seen. That makes me feel good that they're watching out for her and communicating well with our family. I haven't tried the food, but it looks good. And I see that they have activities every day.
We chose Elmcroft of Sagamore Hills because it was close to his home so he was familiar with the area it was in and we also needed a place quickly and they gave a great first impression so we went with them. I have been impressed with the room sizes, he has a view over the garden and the parking lot and it is just fine for what he needs. The staff are amazing here but they do seem to be short staffed. My father in law is a big eater and he never complains about the food, they are chef prepared meals. I would recommend to others who are looking.
I have looked at many Senior Living options and if my Mom were still alive I would not hesitate to have her at Elmcroft Sagamore Hills. What makes this community special is what the staff do for their residents, it is truly a team of caring professionals dedicated to making lives worth living. Exceptional housekeeping, housekeeping the the dining is wonderful too! Don't hesitate to consider this beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care option... it truly is also one of the BEST values anywhere!!!
We were told that they took Medicaid but when we got moved in we found out that they did not. The community is nice and some were good but the amount of store put on our family was unnecessary. If you need assistance to afford this community i would look elsewhere.
Love the staff and all they do for my Dad. He is well cared for and has lots of great activities.
I am so happy here and think everyone takes time to help me. I am trying to have a few friends move in.
My father lived here until I found another facility. Kitchen ran out of eggs for breakfast, milk, fruit frequently. No hair nets for kitchen staff. Strong urine odor throughout. No activity personnel for months. Flea infestation. Residents sleeping on lobby sodas with soiled and soaked under garments. And this place is more expensive than others.
Mom has been here for almost a year and we are delighted with her care and the community. Everyone works hard to meet her needs.
I toured this community and was impressed with the staff/resident interactions, cleanliness and sales team. What a great experience. Mom is about a year away from Moving in.
I frequently visit a family member and am happy to know that she is so happy in her Assisted Living. The friends she has made and the staff who adore her have made a huge difference in our lives.
Dirty, smells. Memory Care unit is poor. Place dirty smells, people sitting in soiled clothes and smell. Dirty chairs, etc.
Over the last few years the quality of care has declined dramatically. The staff is more interested in texting on their phones than seeing to the needs of the residents. My family is very disappointed with the staff. The turnover of staff is to be expected but the new staff seem uncaring.
They take great care of my mother. If I have any concerns they will address the problem. The aides in memory care are attentive of the client needs.

Building was very clean and impressive. The tour guide and staff were friendly and able to fully answer all of our questions.
The facility is very nice, residents were engaged. Rooms are nice sized.
This is my first experience dealing with assisted living so I have nothing to compare it to. In general having so many independent “venders” ( physical therapy, hair salon, visiting doctor, pharmacy, etc) lends itself to communication problems, especially since there is no easy way to contact them individually. Having just one main phone number (receptionist) with questions has resulted in too many 3rd party communication errors. It seems everything gets pushed down to the aides or nurses to handle. And there are so many of them, with turnover issues, it’s difficult to obtain consistent care. I believe it’s up to management to develop a workable communication system, online perhaps, that can consolidate/summarize communication, care, and billing reports that families can access so that they are better informed. Beyond that, I’m grateful to have found a place that provides my father with a safe environment and help with daily care needs such as dressing, house keeping, entertainment and nutritional needs.
Older building, updated. First impression-lobby-residents looked very depressed. Lighting dim. Extra charges for pets, dinner trays delivered to room. Staff we saw did not engage us, other than [name removed] who gave us the presentation and tour.
I loved this community when we toured it. The staff seemed very nice and helpful. The community was very nice inside and out. There is an enclosed courtyard outside which is very lovely. The location of the property just was a little further than I would have desired we needed them closer to the family.
