Clinically, Richview is affiliated with a variety of health professionals and organizations that allow us to maintain a high level of care. Licensed under the Retirement Homes Act (RHA), Richview ensures that staff members are compliant with government regulations, as enforced by the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA). Likewise, Richview is a member of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA), which allows us to ensure that our staff members are educated and up to date on policies and procedures in retirement living.
In terms of programming, Richview has a dedicated team of life enrichment staff who are committed to establishing daily programs, events and activities that are designed to be both entertaining, as well as cognitively, socially and physically fulfilling. Some of larger programs and events include Aquafit (pool-based exercises led by a trained Aquafit professional), Montessori Based Dementia Programming (a program that utilizes procedural memory tasks to relieve the anxiety associated with dementia) and Richview Idol (an annual competition with students from the Musaic School of Music, where residents can participate by acting as judges for the event). More than this, Richview also supports a variety of volunteer and community driven programs that are truly the cornerstone of the immense variety of programs, activities and events we have to offer. Some of our community partnerships include: the Musaic School of Music, First Maple Girl Guides, Villanova College, Studio David Bertram, and Godin School of Music (to name a few). Lastly, at Richview, we understand and respect that a person's faith is paramount to their identity, personality and inner peace. As a result, we ensure that each and every one of our residents has the spiritual services of their denomination and faith available to them at regular times.
Overall, the Richview philosophy is that age should never define the kind of lifestyle you lead or deserve — a mantra we ensure that all of our residents can live daily by providing premier care and excellent amenities. Much more than this, Richview offers residents a fresh and exciting venue where they can cultivate friendships, bolster their sense of community and broaden their horizons with activities and programs. Truly Richview goes above and beyond convention to give residents a new lease on life, in a place that feels like home — because it is!
