About the community Providence House

Providence House at Corey Park offers independent and assisted living for people age 62 and over who want or need supportive services. The non-sectarian community was co-developed by the Archdiocese of Boston Planning Office for Urban Affairs and E.A. The community offers below-market rents to income qualified individuals. The Beechwood Program for those with memory impairment, and Beacon Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Center,
will open in 2005.

Located near Cleveland Circle at the 5.5 acre site of the former St. John of God Hospital, Providence House is readily accessible to seniors and their families from all Boston neighborhoods, as well as the neighboring communities of Brookline, Cambridge, Newton and Watertown.

The peaceful campus setting features a community park, walking paths, mature landscaped grounds and a gazebo. The surrounding neighborhood is comprised of family homes, apartments and condominiums and is within easy walking distance to banks, retail shops and the MBTA Green line on Commonwealth Avenue. Medical services are available at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center located less than one mile away.

I would recommend!

The cleanliness of the community is great, as well as the staff members. My experience so far has been great and the food is really good. The activities have been pretty limited due to the pandemic, but they are slowly starting to bring back the main activities.

My review of Providence House

Overall our experience has been good, we have been very happy. The staff has been really great and very helpful and overall supportive and have just gone out of their way to help our loved one since she recently broke her wrist.

Very appealing place with a true desire to understand and accommodate residents of all kinds. Great location near a Whole Foods and public transportation. A bit urban feeling (which may be just right for some people) when compared to other options with campuses and more greenery.

I toured!!

When we toured Providence House, we thought the tour guide was very friendly, they were able to answer any questions. The choice was left up to my father, he chose another community. There was something he did not like about this one, but I can not remember what that was.

Trying to transition!

Everything here seems pretty good. It is very clean as well. They offer a lot of things for dad to do. Dad just has not got into anything much yet. The food is okay as far as we know. Things will start to pick up once dad transitions.

Community On Top Of the Hill

I toured this community for my mother, and it went okay. I did not like the fact the community was on top of a hill. It would be hard to travel to because of that. Other than the hill it was a nice tour. The community looked nice. The staff was friendly and kind. It just wasn't the community for my mother and her needs.
