Penn House has a number of positive aspects. The location is ideal and is in a quiet neighborhood in town, the facility is small which allows for a much different experience, and there are beautiful gardens and walking paths for the residents to enjoy which is unusual being in an urban environment. The staff are so personable, with a nice and warm feeling, which makes me feel confident about my mom living there. Another unique feature is that it is a historic building, and at 92, my mom really enjoys that feeling. The building is decorated like a museum which is very pleasing to her and to me. Overall, the food is good and the dining area is warm and inviting like a restaurant.
Really clean and great place.
Visiting facilities for my mother was a bit overwhelming and slightly depressing until I found Penn Home. Right away I knew it was the place for my mom when the person on the tour actually helped and spoke with the residents. My choice was further supported by the perfect record of the facility on the state website, and the value for the money. Mom has been here for almost ten months and we couldn't be happier. I am so glad a place like Penn Home exsists.
This was an incredible place. During the tour the staff interacted with the residents, and everyone on staff seemed truly happy. The residents seem happy too! I moved mom there three weeks ago and she likes it. She keeps thanking me for finding it! A non-profit is totally the way to go if you want affordablity and excellence combined. We highly recommend this home.
Everything is going very well for my father here at this community. They are caring him very well and I'am pleased. It is a good looking community, they do a good job with keeping everything nice and clean. They have a great staff. They do offer nice activities for the residents. He is pleased with the food. I know he is safe and in good hands. This is a community I would recommend.
I am a huge fan of the great overall value we got for the money for care for our family members. I feel like it was reasonable and safe at the same time.
This home is located in my mom's neighborhood and its interior is very similar to the interior of her house, making for a familiar transition. The care is all inclusive so there are no extra fees. I visited frequently for her first week in the home and found truly personal care for my mom. A bonus was that she knew 4 residents at the home. I am very pleased with the choice of Penn Home.
Excellent...Excellent place. My brother and son were VERY impressed with everything that we saw and heard. We feel that my mother would be best at home here and we would no longer have to worry about her needs. I would definitely recommend Penn Home. T thank you.
