Best Community We Have Found

It is an excellent, caring community that is clean. They have nice staff. The staff are responsive to any my questions or concerns. There have been games, singing, movies, and more for the residents to choose from for activities.

I would recommend

We chose MorninngStar because of the value for the money, it is a newer modern facility, and the food menu was great. The meals are chef prepared and they get a menu with options to choose from. I gave the administration 3 because the staff is transitioning, they are in the on-borading process so there are some blips going on at the moment due to that turnover. Overall I would recommend them to others who are looking.

Would Recommend

The staff seems cordial and happy to help. The community is recently new with. The communication with the staff is good for the most part. The staff seems understaffed at time. I wish there was a transition from assisted living to memory care.

Don't fall for the glitter, make sure to ask the right questions

I would want others to know who are looking into MorningStar that you need to be an advocate for your loved ones in here, you need to constantly be int touch with them. My loved one was having some medical issues and they did not communicate it with us. They do have a very high turnover of staff members and that is not just because of covid. I do not think that the value for the money is here.

We deeply apologize for the poor impression you express here. It grieves us to think we disappointed you. Our chief responsibility and cherished privilege is to advocate and care for residents through the complications and challenges of advanced age, made more so in the face of dementia. Our families struggle alongside their loved ones on this journey, giving us ample opportunity to befriend them as well and ease their felt burdens, emotionally and relationally. Please call our Executive Director, Shannon Allen, to discuss your concerns in person, that we might remove any reservations you have about our quality of care and sincerity of purpose.

Very impressed with this facility: excellent location, beautiful design, rooms seem slightly larger, cats OK possibly into Memory Care if resident able to care for it, will have raised garden beds, immediate availability. Concerns are that facility is not yet full (possibly not enough social interaction) and price may be too high for her budget.
