The devil is in the details
My father was at Little Flower for a month, recovering from hip surgery that took place in January 2024. Unfortunately, they denied him physical therapy for many days stating his orthostatic vital signs were positive when in reality none were taken. They labeled my father as non-ambulatory and said he could not even roll himself over in bed or get up without assistance. I visited him and helped him walk the hallway with a borrowed walker. He could do all of the above perfectly fine, and they yelled at me for permitting him to do so. They also incorrectly labeled him as incontinent after putting him on stool softeners forbidding him to get up and not answering the call light. This erroneous and falsified documentation was sent to the ALFs where I had applied resulting in a costly level of care or his denial.

An Exemplary Nursing Care Facility
My Mom was a resident at LFM for the last two years of her life. Throughout that time, she received top notch care and attention from the nurses, doctors, aides and housekeeping staff, all of whom treated her with love and respect. Visiting her daily gave me the chance to see how kind and genuinely caring they were. Their attitude was always upbeat and positive, putting a smile on my Mom's face whenever they came to visit her. She had the chance to participate in a variety of activities every day which kept her mind and body active and enabled her to socialize with the other residents and staff. I truly felt that not only my Mom but her children and grandchildren were all part of the LF family. When the good Lord called her, she was surrounded by not only her family but the LF staff who had taken such good care of her and loved her dearly. What a blessing! We chose to have her funeral service in the LF chapel so that all of the residents and staff who had become her dear friends could attend. It was truly a beautiful experience. I am so grateful to the entire team at LFM for their loving support and care of my Mom and our whole family. Their quality of care and generosity of spirit will always be fondly remembered by us.

Threw Out My Dad's Dentures
I had a little different experience here with my father. He was in there three days. I had gotten him an upper and lower plate just before he moved in for $2800. While he was sleeping, one of the cleaning people came in, took the upper plate off his night stand, wrapped it in a paper towel, and threw it out. $1400 that got thrown out and the best that they did was reimburse me for $300. The whole attitude they had about them doing this was terrible. They were blaming my dad for not putting it in the case while he slept. I was really not happy about that.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Little Flower Manor

A Place for Mom has scored Little Flower Manor 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
