It is never an easy decision to move a parent into an apartment after the loss of your other parent. The staff (and specifically [name removed]) made the decision easy for our family. My mom's apartment is beautiful and provides all the comforts of home she needs in this new stage of life. The staff is always friendly and helpful when we have questions or concerns. She moved in almost a year ago so we've only know LM under covid protocols and we feel they have handled things fairly well. My mom enjoys all of the activities and has really immersed herself into the community. I don't even know where to begin, we moved my mother there in Nov 2022. We were sold by the sales people a place that had consistent long term staff, great caregivers and the assurance that all my moms needs could be met. It wasn't long before we had medication mix ups such as not receiving her meds( and her being made to feel she just forgot that they were given) and being lied to about it then literally having to go over late at night and catching the person just taking the meds up when I arrived on site, the running out of meds and not having consistently, so unacceptable. My mom took a couple falls and never once did head nurse once on site personally come to check on her. Numerous times my mother who was oxygen depended was left with no oxygen at all and thank god we had placed a camera in her room due to suggestion from nurse [name removed], that we were the ones to catch it. There is many more things but not enough space. Independent living is good but not assisted.

The community was enormous. It was nice, and a newer facility but was too big for my loved one.
I toured this community. Initially, we liked it. But I had heard feedback from a few others about staffing issues. I also had trouble with getting a callback from them with questions we had. We decided to go with another community.
Like the rest of the United States Lincoln Meadows is having a hard time filling the staffing for the community. In the memory care unit the weekend staffing is a big challenge in keeping the staff. Medication management, hygiene, dressing, and bathing assistance is some of the care the community is able to provide. The communication with the management has been good. The communication with the staff in the memory care unit on the weekends has been challenging for the family.

Our tour at Lincoln Meadows was fine. The people were nice, and they adequately and appropriately explained the community and cost, etc.
Response from Lincoln Meadows Senior Living
May 6, 2022Hi Customer, we appreciate the positive feedback. It means a lot. Have an amazing day!
This might be an acceptable place for independent living. I probably wouldn't recommend for assisted living. We aren't getting the services we were promised such as laundry service. The friendliness of the caregivers is pretty low. The communication with the staff about our loved one is lacking and could be improved upon. Housekeeping, laundry, changing of linens, the room, the utilities, scheduled transportation, 24 hour staffing and emergency services team, and all the meals are to be included in the monthly rate. The weekly housekeeping, and laundry once a week has been sporadic at best. For the first six weeks that my loved one was in the community these services didn't happen at all. My loved one really enjoys the meals. There is a daily special and a menu the residents can order off of. My loved one has been raving about the food to the family.

My mom really liked Lincoln Meadows. The apartment was perfect, except it didn’t have central air. It had a wall unit instead, like they have in hotel rooms. The wall unit was big and noisy, and she didn't want to live with that. It was also a huge place that would have involved lots of walking, which was not ideal for her to get around in her condition at the time. But she liked everything else about it.

Our family was able to have an in person tour and we lived at the time very close to the community, and it was brand new. The community and everything we were able to see was very nice.
This community was too big for what we were looking for for my loved one. It was a nice community it was just too big. Very nice community.

December 22, 2021Thank you so much for the positive review of Lincoln Meadows Senior Living! We appreciate it and if there is ever anything we can do, please let us know.
Our father was fully vaccinated for Covid. He contracted Covid during an outbreak of the virus in Sept/Oct 2021 at Lincoln Meadows, resulting in him being extremely sick and in the hospital for 4 weeks. During Dad’s hospital stay, we did not receive ANY communication from the staff at Lincoln Meadows. We notified the front desk twice that dad was sick and asked for help getting him a Covid test. We were given ridiculous advice to take our elderly sick father to his family doctor for a Covid test as they did not have any testing in the facility. After notification of his illness, Lincoln Meadows did not quarantine dad, but allowed him to go into the dining room and all over the building. They showed total lack of concern about dad’s illness and its impact on other residents. During Oct. 2021, COVID at Lincoln Meadows increased to 17 cases.. This outbreak could have been prevented if appropriate procedures were implemented.

We moved my mom here after selling her home of 30+ years where she lived with my dad, who passed away in 2019. It was a huge change for her on so many levels and it all happened amidst the complexities of COVID. However, Lincoln Meadows quickly became her new "home." They've done their best with activities and outings throughout COVID precautions and my mom is really happy here. She's made friends, developed new routines, and she's always smiling when I come visit. She consistently compliments the staff, especially those in the dining room. Overall, we are very happy with the experience.

November 1, 2021Hello Hali, thank you for your awesome review of Lincoln Meadows Senior Living. We hope you will stop by and visit us again!
As a Hospice Nurse in the local community, I have had the privilege of working side by side with staff at Lincoln Meadows. I have worked with multiple residents throughout the facility and have been beyond blessed by the caregivers and administration. These residents have nothing but positive things to say about the caregivers, the environment, the culture and even the food. As a person who spends a lot of time in facilities, if I had to recommend a facility to a loved one, it would be Lincoln Meadows!!!

November 1, 2021Hello Jody, thank you for your great review of Lincoln Meadows Senior Living. Please reach out if any questions come up.
My loved one spent the last 3 years of his life at Lincoln Meadows in their Independent Living facility. He was happy to have his own apartment and still have opportunities for social activities with other residents. It was a comfort to our family to know he was safe, cared for, eating well, and someone would be available in case of an emergency. The facility was immaculate, the food delicious and the staff caring and friendly. I would like to thank Lincoln Meadows for honoring our trust and providing a clean, compassionate and well-run home for our loved one in his sunset years. I would not hesitate to recommend Lincoln Meadows to anyone looking for elder care for a loved one.

November 1, 2021Hello Karen. We are so glad to hear we met you and your dad's expectations, and that he was genuinely happy during his time at Lincoln Meadows. Thank you so much for your great review.
Very professional and accommodating any patient with oxygen needs. Anytime [name removed] has a specific request for oxygen therapy she understands the needs of the patient and then acts accordingly to make sure the right equipment is ordered. Would highly recommend [name removed] and also this facility!

November 1, 2021Hello Nick We love to hear our team members always exceed your expectations. Thank you for your great review.
On Oct, 13 2021 our Mom fell in her unit and could not summon help on her own. She had an appointment with the on site hairdresser and when she did not arrive for the appointment [name removed], the hairdresser, called the front desk to check on her. [name removed] with housekeeping overheard the request and went to check on our Mom. Without their actions our Mom could have been on the floor for an hour or more. A big thank you to Rachael and Kathy for their action in helping a resident in need. We hope management can find a way to reward them for respecting and providing help for a resident.

November 8, 2021Hello Gary, We're so glad all is Ok! We are happy to have your mom here. Please let us know if we can do anything or answer any questions. Thank you for your time to leave a review.
Working in the home health care industry for over 15 years gives me the opportunity to visit many communities. Lincoln Meadows is always welcoming. Beginning at the front desk with a kind and patient concierge team to the hard working management team. Their communication with outside vendors is incredible. Truly, they care for the well being and happiness of their residents.

A Place for Mom has scored Lincoln Meadows Senior Living 5.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
