Going in, it is really important to understand who is responsible for what. That was part of our frustration in the beginning, I did not know who to be dealing with for what issue. We have only been here a few months, but things so far are going well. The quality of the food is great, but the variety could use some improvements. They do offer independent living here as well as assisted living. If you have never been in an assisted living facility, it can be pretty shocking. Be prepared for a big smoking club right across the drive, they go out there every day since there is not smoking allowed in the building. They really do try hard to separate that so I give them credit for that. Maintenance has been very good, they are on the ball if he ever has any issues. They are located on top of a hill and I feel the facility is very safe. My brother is very very happy living here and he gets along with everyone and that is all that matters.... Read more

In the welcoming town of Covington, Kentucky lies our warm assisted senior living community, Ivy Knoll. Since 2015, we’ve established our facilities to accommodate our aging community. We understand how difficult it can be to find quality assisted living, and we’ve made it our passion to dedicate comfortable spaces, compassionate care, and essential services to prospective residents in need of accommodations to gracefully age in place.
Our city offers plenty of opportunities for leisure and fun, while also maintaining a serene atmosphere for more relaxed lifestyles. Covington, Kentucky is home to Behringer-Crawford Museum, Doe Run Lake Park, Garden of Hope, and an array of unique sites found only in Covington. Residents and their families will always find something to do in our quaint town.
Ivy Knoll knows that everybody needs a sense of purpose to feel fulfilled in life. We set the stage by creating a warm, welcoming culture that embraces everyone...

Clean. Family feel. Excellent facility

They're very friendly. The food is okay. It's hit or miss. I'd like to see less processed foods and healthier, more fresh options. They haven't been cleaning her apartment and her laundry, but they also had a Covid issue again recently. But we were having to remind them even before Covid. They're slowly renovating, which is good. My mom likes her room a whole lot. I know that staffing is difficult at this point, but she's getting her hair done there for the first time. Hopefully that goes well. She gets to see people every day, and she's happy. One nice thing is they have an attorney at no additional expense that helps with things such as getting the VA pension for qualified residents. That has been applicable to us, and a huge help. I also talked to residents when we toured, and there are residents that have been there nine or more years, which really says something to me.
We didn’t really feel as though this was a good fit
My family is in the process of securing a suitable living arrangement for our brother a disabled veteran. [name removed] was a recommendation based on our needs. Their representative ([date removed]) was personable, knowledgable and a true professional. The services and the physical state of the residence was impressive. I would recommend that any family looking for a Personal Care Home for a love one inquire about [name removed].
During this time this community has just been great. We really like all the activities they have to offer, and it seems like the residents and employees are really happy. We would recommend this community to others.
Good food, clean, nice, patio, good people and good happy hour!
I don't dislike it. Food, workers are good. No complaints.
Everything is good.
Nothing not to like.
May improve on trips. Staying home not my style. But everything else is excellent.
Excellent service, they do a nice job.
I like the games. no complaints.
I've lived here three years and love it. At first I was a little lonesome until I met my friends, women and men. Actually I met my best friend year later and ever since we eat and walk outside together. He moved in one year after I did. I showed him around and outside and the garden.
The facility itself is well-run and managed. Food is good and served always with a smile [names removed] always make me smile and make my days better.
I'm satisfied. I like the activities, Sunday service, and food.
Within budget and large rooms, wide hallways.
200 character? Too many! It's nice here. Food very good! Staff thoughtful and caring! Great place to spend your retired years.
My brother is there and very happy. At 71 he is independent and helpful to others. It really is o senior community not a nursing home.
Response from Ivy Knoll A Caring Senior Community
May 15, 2019Thank you! We appreciate the trust you have given us! We are a Senior Community. Many of our residents are completely independent.
The employees are always very friendly and helpful. The food is always wonderful and there is plenty of it to eat. My brother's apartment is bigger and nicer than many motels that I've stayed in. I feel very comfortable leaving my brother there knowing that he is in good hands.
