Response from Holiday Mission Commons
June 30, 2023It is our pleasure to treat each and every one of our residents like family at Holiday Mission Commons. We appreciate your kind compliments!
My friend has had an overall good experience with Holiday Mission Commons. The staff are super friendly, approachable, and helpful towards the residents and visitors. There are meals and activities to assist with socialization of the residents. Overall, this has been a good experience for my friend and it is a community I would recommend to others.

I had a relative that worked for this community and my parents visited this community before being moved out of state. I lived in Redlands for most of my life. This is a very clean community, and caring staff. Highly recommend it.

Overall, the staff has been great! I wish more efforts/attempts were made to engage and get my uncle out of his room to participate with others in scheduled in-house events. Lastly, I'm hearing from other residents, that food needs some improvement.

Holiday Mission was a very good experience for our family and what made it such a great experience were the staff members. The feedback we received over the meals and dining was that the quality and variety was mediocre. However we would recommend this community to other families.

The staff and team is awesome, the care is great and my loved one is doing well. The management is who I am having issues with though. I went down to pay the bills and they did not disclose about $2500 of extra fees that I had to pay. I think they need to be more up front about that in the beginning. I would tell others to make sure and ask about that before signing paperwork.
I toured this facility and it's great!
The communication with the staff was excellent. They did great at everything they did.

Mission Commons management communicated a move in amount and monthly rent to my aunt who moved in earlier this year. Once she signed the agreement, the amounts began to change. The changes cost her almost 10K in additional fees. The facility advertises transportation services. My aunt got a ride to the doctor once and was left there. She was given a number to call for pick up and it was disconnected. Thank goodness I was available to come pick her up, or she would have been left standing on the street corner alone and forgotten by the employees of Mission Commons. The worst part about Mission Commons is the food. They advertise fresh chef prepared meals. The truth is, there is never enough food and residents often have the choice of just a bowl of rice or a peanut butter sandwich. My aunt has had food poisoning three times since moving in and is currently struggling with malnutrition. No one will talk about the starvation occurring because they are afraid of management.

Response from Holiday Mission Commons
July 15, 2022Carolyn, Thank you for bringing your family member’s experience to our attention. We have shared your comments with local and regional leadership and are available directly at Resident.Relations@HolidaySeniorLiving.com, if you have future concerns.?
My advice – Run! I moved my loved one out of Mission Commons (MC) within two months. MC’s intake process is a complete bait and switch – the care cost for my loved one more than doubled after 30 days! They get you in, then they ramp up the costs and add other costs – a total sham!

It has been hard on residents just because of covid and everyone is isolated, but I do know that my sister is happy here. They are having to bring meals to the rooms right now so it is not as good as if they were able to eat in the dining room. I do like the location of the facility and I would recommend them.

Mission Coommons is a very nice place. When you walk in, the community looks very welcoming. I really appreciate that the staff, administration, and management have been very nice and accommodating. They have really gone the extra mile to help us. As far as the food goes, meals are small here, with the largest meal being served during lunch. The food quality is good though, and they are willing to accommodate the needs of the residents. They have a very nice library here with ton of books and a nice reading area. They don't have all care levels here, but they do provide ad on services such as medication management and laundry. Mission Commons really is a very nice community, and I would recommend it.

I had to move my grandmother closer to me after she fell and broke her shoulder. My mom and I were overwhelmed because she was wheelchair bound and incontinent after surgery, and her insurance didn’t want to pay for a nursing home. After searching many options, we decided to place her in independent living at Mission Commons in Redlands. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and they have an in-house company of caregivers which visit her room every hour around the clock (an extra $1,800 per month which is VERY worth it). Mission Commons has surprisingly good prices compared to less desirable places. I’m so glad we made this choice!

I toured this community for my aunt, and her needs. The tour went well, and everyone was nice. However I was not impressed with the room they showed up. It was dorm size, and I did not feel that would be a good fit for my aunt. and her needs.

We are so happy that we found Mission Commons in Redlands. Just what we were looking for my Mom. She gets three meals a day, cleaning service, beauty salon, transportation, activities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything that was advertised to be.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Mission Commons 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
