My father has been living at Heartis Village North Shore for a couple of months and we are very happy with the community. We looked at many different senior living options with similar costs and Heartis was by far the best. My dad is staying busy, meeting new friends and getting lots of physical therapy on-site. The staff is helpful and friendly and the medical staff is very conscientious.
I have been a Resident here for almost two years. Our Community has become a family. We are very welcoming to new residents and care about each other. I do also like the walking paths down to the River where the setting is natural. We also love seeing the Turkeys and the Deer and the Birds and hearing the frogs.
My mother has always been a very independent person. However, with her mobility declining, we all agreed this was the best option. We were looking for a place that was very clean, pleasant, had a vibrant social scene, strong care infrastructure to get easier access to doctors, and apartments that had good closet space and were pleasant with good lighting. Heartis has so far exceeded our expectations. A warm, caring environment, great food, and great access to nursing and doctors - and my mom has made a few great friendships since joining a few months ago. I would highly recommend Heartis to others.
We chose Heartis Village because it was close to family in case we need to be there quickly and it was also a brand new facility. They do offer a variety of room sizes to choose from and the prices have just gone up quite a bit. They have still been doing activities to try to keep residents busy even if it is in the hallways or in the rooms so they have been good about that. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.
Our loved one was the first resident to move in, the original administration staff was very nice. However last year they changed the administration staff and that it when it went downhill for us. The aids and staff members were very friendly. Sometimes the care services were good and sometimes they were nice. The meals were fine, and they had very good activities.
The management and care at Heartis Glendale is horrible. It may be a bright and shiny building, but the compassion and care is non existent and the employee turnover is constant. Beware of this facility. We had a very bad experience and have since removed our loved one.
