Grand Villa feels like home

The staff and management are excellent, friendly and helpful. A plus Dining Services; the activities program is just great ?? They make me feel like home.

Great activities program, including exercises; crafts; outings, special events. These are genuine employees; that work with their heart; The Executive Director is very compassionate; and helps to resolve every single issue, food is great and variety of dishes. A great place to live

My time here is been exceptional , front desk is very helpful, kind they knows how to take care of a situation. The dining room service is amazing; my housekeeping is above and beyond I’m totally happy with the services. Activities is a great place to meet people and have fun there is always something to do for everyone. I enjoyed pretty much everything here??

I been a resident for almost 2 years and it’s been truly enjoyable , I found the employees to be professional , helpful, compassionate and courteous. I love the food; 5 star dining service. [name removed] director of activities loves her job and truly cares about the residents, she is always giving us things to do that help with our quality of life. The activity room would not be so coordinated if she were not in charge. Whenever I see residents being difficult she is always kind, patient and helpful. [name removed]is a joy to be around and always has a smile on her face. We love that she always has new ideas and is very creative with all of her decorations, it always amazes us that she remembers birthdays, residents names, and celebrates all of the holidays . Grand Villa would not be the same without her.

[name removed]has been an inspiration to all our Residents. We knew [name removed]had great ideas and could carry them out,. When Covid -19 occurred we really were amazed, within 2 weeks we had small tables and chairs in our hallways while social distancing we did exercises, trivia, contests as well as coloring, painting, snacks were brought up. [name removed]found ways to share in small groups and threw a vaccine party that was televised on the news, many other facilities did not have activities and languished . [name removed]spirit has touched us all we are forever grateful for her.

Caring Staff

One thing that stands out about Grand Villa is their caring staff. They go out of their way to assist everyone not only the residents but visitors too. I may also add the place is very clean. My Dad now lives there and it gives me peace of mind that he is in good hands!

Seeing Long Time Friends find each other again

One of our Volunteers in Motion client asked if we would take her to Grand Villa to reconnect with a friend she has known for 43 years. We found it difficult to to call her so, we showed up one morning. The staff at Grand Villa was great! They made sure we checked in properly and followed all COVID guidelines and they made sure their resident was up for company. We were able to knock on her door and two long time friends reconnected. The funny thing is our client lives 5 minutes down the road.

Finally Found a Home for Mom

It's heaven compared to the place my loved one came from. I would highly recommend it. It's a very nice community. They have private rooms. The building is a converted hotel, so it's very much like a hotel room. But they provide a mini fridge, and each resident has a private bathroom that is easily accessible for taking showers. And there's plenty of room to bring things in to make it homey and comfortable for the residents. For the most part, the staff have been very friendly and helpful. They do keep me updated on any changes in my loved one's medications. They've very good about those things. The food is okay, but my loved one would like to see less sandwiches. It's gotten a lot better since they've lifted restrictions now that everyone has their Covid shots and can go to the dining room again. But they do give her oranges if she asks for them. Any request she makes, if they have it, they'll provide it for her. If the residents are capable of taking care of a pet, they allow pets in the facility, which I think is amazing. I know that really brightens my mom's spirits seeing other people's dogs.

My review of Grand Villa

We chose Grand VIlla because it is not as big as some of the others, so residents get to know each other pretty well. The staff seems to care about the residents and try hard to be helpful. Also it was spotless. They have been very good with communication and keeping families up to date. I think others should know that the quality of the staff is very good. I would recommend to others looking.

Would recommend it

While our loved one was there, they did give her good care. She did enjoy the meals at the community, due because of the pandemic they pretty much were locked down the entire time and had no activities. We do think the value of the community was well worth it.

A Place for Dad

We worked through Harmony Senior Living Associates to place my Dad in a facility that would match his interest, likes, and personality. Once we walked in the door and met [names removed], it immediately felt like home. From the friendliness of the staff, right down to the beautiful facility and location. Located on the river, it has amenities galore. Even in this pandemic world, the staff is uplifting, positive, and makes every effort to meet and greet everyone that comes through the door. My Dad loves his new place. Even though he has only been there 2-1/2 months, he feels like it's home. I would highly recommend GV to anyone who needs a place for their loved one.

Make the right choice

I would tell others to not take your loved ones to Grand Villa. We made arrangements a month ahead of time and the day of me taking my mother here, her room as not ready, there was no bed, the previous occupants possessions were in the room. They lost my moms laundry and mixed it up so when I went to get her stuff she had a lot of things that weren't hers. As a result of them not paying attention to my mother, she fell and broke her arm and her leg and never returned. They also never lived up to their word.

You don’t have a level low enough to mark. I moved my sister out after 13 days. Her care was very poor. She fell 5 times and after meeting with staff to increase her level of care she still did not receive appropriate care. She was found in soiled clothing late in the afternoon wearing the same sleepwear we had put on her the night before. She was in the memory care unit and the last straw was they found her on the bathroom floor naked in the morning so I’m sure no one was watching or paying attention to alarms that were in the room to let you know of any problem. She is improving at home with excellent care. I would not recommend Grand Villa to anyone. It still cost us a month for the poor care since we did not give a 30 day notice. There are some many issues I can’t possibly cover in the limited space.
