Our family visited Escalante at Willow Creek, it seemed nice from pictures and all that had researched on. Just didn't feel the right connection for us while on the tour, it was nice but many residents seemed to be unhappy and not as cheerful as expected. Not certain what was the issue or if was just an off day, but did not end up choosing this facility for my loved one.
This is a terrible place, we had major issues with the overall value and cost, it did not meet any expectations. it was our worst experience we would not refer anybody to here it just fell completely apart. They did not have any full time staff there it was temporary and contracted out workers

Response from Escalante at Willow Creek
November 29, 2022Hello. My name is Nick Castilleja, and I am a VP of Operations with Integral Senior Living. We are the management company for Escalante at Willow Creek. Will you please give me a call at 817.680.6407 so I can better understand your experience with the community, and we can work together on a solution? Thank you.
Escalante at Willow Creek was my first choice. I would have placed my loved one there had it been my choice to make. It seemed to be a good value. I thought it was a step up in terms of activities and food over the other places we toured. The staff seemed more friendly. My loved one chose a different community because Escalante was slightly more expensive, and he doesn't like to spend money in general.

The tour experience was wonderful and the staff were all great. The tour guide was fantastic and really interested in my loved one and trying to find out about her. The thing that really appealed to us was the fact that it was a smaller facility with less residents. It looked like everyone was very friendly and we figured the activities provided would help her integrate into the community. It had a fantastic view and beautiful courtyard. We had mom all signed up but unfortunately she was never able to move in due to her health declining.

This community was great. The tour guide was honest and up front. This community was just too far away for where I wanted my loved one located.
This was a beautiful community but I did not see the interaction with the residents that I was looking for. Beautiful tour but not many residents together or any interactions. There was just another community that I felt my loved one fit in better at.

I would not recommend them at all. They lost my mother's dentures. They fed her Pine-Sol inadvertently. They lost her hearing aids. She did not get the care that I was promised.

This is an excellent community and your loved one will receive great care here. The staff are very friendly with my loved one as well as my family. The food is okay and my loved one has difficulties due to dentures and the community accommodates and makes sure he has something that he can eat.

The staff is friendly and open. I've been going there every day, and they have been very open to me being there and asking questions. At the moment, they're in transition with employee turnover in many departments. So there have been some bumps, but I think given some time they will be back to the level they were when we first moved in. I picked The Wentworth of Willow Creek because of how friendly everyone is. They staff definitely try, and that makes a big difference. The food is good. They try to give variety, and it has flavor, which is helpful. It's not the typical cafeteria food. Activities is one of the areas affected by staffing. They've lost their activities director, so there have been practically no activities because they're' short-staffed. But I would say the cost is just about what everybody else is charging in the area.

We chose The Wentworth of WIllow Creek because we were in a time crunch and they were able to take him quickly when we needed it. It seemed a lot more personal when I toured them and they were anxious to fill their empty spots so we did get a good deal as well. My dad did contract covid while he was here. They went above and beyond and moved him to a special facility so he could get extra care and they covered the cost of it and my dad was just fine. They were awesome about the whole situation. Due to covid a lot of normal activities have been limited, but they all know him by name and are all very personal and caring. He has never complained about being here and I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

There are better places out there but depending on your budget. We do like this facility it is close to us. Room sizes are good and my loved one likes the food. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

I am compelled to let others know the complete incompetence we have experienced in dealing with this facility. My father has been residing here for about a month and a half. Within the first 2 weeks, the facility sent a text telling family members to come pick up our father because they couldn't handle normal Alzheimer's behaviors. My father was attempting to break out of the window in his room and later figured out how to trigger the door to unlock of their secure facility. They offered zero assistance in finding a new facility. It is a difficult decision to place your parent in a home and I think it's important that other's know our experience to avoid problems like we've experienced. This is even more complicated with the pandemic and need for COVID testing.

It's a beautiful place, but the food could be better. A bigger variety of food and more seasoning would be great. My parents are happy with their apt and room size. When covid is is over I would like to see more activities, on Wed they are participating in flower arranging and get take the flowers back to their room. I would recommend the community

Do not put your loved one here. They don’t clean the rooms, wash the sheets or do any of the things that you pay for. They are also very expensive. Very bad experience!!

We chose this community for my mom because she had a friend there and we thought it was going to be OK. Well It was rough in the beginning but they keep improving so we will give them time to iron things out with the management. In the beginning her meds weren't right and at the wrong times. The whole staff is new now and are trying to make things right. The caregivers are caring and helpful. Food is OK again we have a new chef and the food did improve. She enjoys the activities there they have many music functions and The clogging Grandmas came so that was entertaining. I think we are all on the same page now and mom is happy now. I wouldn't recommend this place though to anyone.

My mom was at The Wentworth of Willow Creek for a week respite stay, but I would not hesitate to have her stay there again in the future. The staff was so friendly and caring and attentive to her care needs. They made sure she had her medication taken in a timely manner. She was eating better than ever. She had her own lovely room with a view. Her quality of life was better with all of the people who surrounded her and gave her plenty of opportunities to socialize. While she was there she attended one of their bus tours to Salt Lake City. They have a movie night, and other activities to engage in. She was able to attend a church service while she was there. There are lots of patios around the community, and there is a park next door that has a pond with turtles and a fountain, it is just beautiful. The cost was very reasonable for such good quality of care. I would highly recommend this community to friends and family.
