I am trying to find out more information on a grant program that may be available to her but there is a fine line between Assisted Living and Independent Living as far as the grant is concerned. She was a bit obstinate about moving, but we were able to let her become familiar with the apartment. At lunch I was impressed that so many residents were smiling and many made an effort to come by and say hello and encourage her to join the community. She has been pretty isolated the last three years with the pandemic, so joining an existing community that is both safe and welcoming will be really good for her.
