I am thankful for this place for my aunt. We live out of town and she has lived there for two years and is so well cared for. They have wonderful activities; she loves the exercise and crafts. They are so responsive to us as we assist from a distance. From the personalized laundry service, to the homemade meals and attentive staff, we are just so thankful for the love and care they provide. She is a widow of a veteran so they even helped us get Veterans Benefits! Thanks Colonial!... Read more

I like living here, it's been almost 14 months. The staff are kind and considerate. I like the outings and activities and the good value for the money. It is close to shopping and several restraunts.

Wonderful community and staff - community feels like home. A hidden gem in Tampa which is close to USF and the VA Hospital. Highly recommend. Activities calendar was full every day. Other residents were singing and enjoying their day.

I unfortunately have to live here. The night staff steals, they stolen clothes, snacks, and whatever else they find desirable. Some of them yell at the residents. They talk badly about residents. I am not satisfied with my stay here or the treatment I receive for staff. I want my money back, I am so not satisfied with my stay here. If you love your family member, do not send them here. Not worth the money

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was nice but nothing really stood out to us about the community.
Very disappointed. Worked with them for weeks, and suddenly no return calls after countless attempts. Unacceptable behavior in any business.

I recently visited during a networking event and really enjoyed the team that I met. The residents seemed very happy and were enjoying the karaoke that was going on at the time. The executive director was engaging and optimistic about the upgrades the property is going through. It’s nice to hear they will keep the affordability but amp up the appeal and coziness of the building. It’s nice to see the transformation happening so fast!

I love the changes this facility has gone through recently. They’ve moved the smokers away from the front of the building and have made it a lot more homey. I’ve heard they are also upgrading the entire interior and exterior as well. This is going to be really nice. That coupled with the amazing staff and the affordability- this location is going to be perfect!

I am the cousin and Medical Power of Attorney of a resident at Tampa Living Care. My cousin was very happy at this facility under the old management, but we are both unhappy now. Here's why I am unhappy: 1) I have tried to reach management several times since the change-of-hands, but my calls have never been returned. 2) When I could not reach management after many tries over the space of over a month, I was told the Med Tech was the person in charge for that day (It was a Sunday) and that I should just talk to her. When I told her my concerns, she implied that my cousin was lying and that I should believe her instead. Under previous management, I could reach the director or the person I needed to to get clarification, but never was my cousin treated as if she were invisible and should not be taken at her word. (Under old management, I probably talked to the director 3 times, but those 3 times made a huge difference). 3) They changed my cousin's medication to something that does not work for her. They did not notify me and they did not listen to my cousin when she complained. 4) The change in management was done with little regard for the types of people they are serving - a population that is unlikely to take change well. The new management came in and made changes to personnel, procedures, without what seems to me as an regard for what was working before. Now, the residents who once mostly got along are now fighting among themselves. it's like no one is at the helm when it comes to the emotional well-being of the place. My cousin had additional complaints, such as a smell of urine and the food is not as good.

This facility gives the impression of more of a nursing home than an assisted living facility. The smell of tobacco smoke was overwhelming as we entered, and while the facility seems clean, it is very bare and not at all homey.

My family and I had the opportunity to tour this facility and were quiet satisfied with the quality of services and amount of attention each resident is afforded here. When we toured they we in the process of doing an activity. Another nice thing is, the facility is close to many stores.

Awesome place, if you want you loved one safe, secure and engaged. The building offers many perks like affordability, which is very hard to come by in this industry. I would recommend this facility 100 times over. They are even on Facebook where they post resident activities and health articles. I communicate with them via Facebook messenger to frequently check up on my Sister.
