A Home Away From Home
My mother has lived at Cheltenham Oaks for 2+ years and I am continually highly recommending this home to neighbors, friends, my banker, and colleagues. The facility is excellent in terms of appearance, attention to loved ones, patient care, and customer service by caregivers and the director. Questions are answered in a timely manner. My mother's health needs are addressed immediately, and the director is in routine contact with my mom's doctors. Recently m mom needed to see a doctor but we were not sure what the real issue was. After the director and caregiver talked and observed my mom, my mom let them know there was something wrong with her teeth. The family was able to get care for mom immediately and the caregivers and directors provided appropriate follow-up once the procedure was over. My mom is not a big eater, but needs to maintain a certain weight, so the director and caregivers monitor her weight closely and keep the family informed. When my family visits Cheltenham Oaks, it's like a home, not a facility. My family interacts with my mom as well as the other patients when we visit. The director and caregivers treat the patients and visitors the same way they would like to be treated. My family from Michigan has visited my mom at Cheltenham Oaks three times in the past 2 years, and they were just amazed at the level of care and caring demonstrated by the staff. You feel like family when you're at Cheltenham Oaks. Again, I continually recommend others to visit this special home that is committed to the best care for its patients.

The physical facility is excellent, sanitary, and well kept. My mother receives very good meals and snacks, and we are always kept abreast of her weight needs. The director stays in communication with my mom's primary care physician. Recently, I was most impressed by the caregiver and director's attention to my mom's behavior when she was not feeling well, which resulted in my mom being seen and treated by an oral surgeon. My relatives from Michigan have been to Cheltenham Oaks 3 times since my mother has lived there, and were simply amazed at the appearance of the facility, the professionalism and care displayed by the caregivers, and the attention given to mom's food and personal care needs. My family and I are made to feel welcome and "like family." When my family and I visit the home, we talk and spend time with other patients as they are sitting in the family room or dining room. My family and I consider the other patients as "family," also. There is a very high level of transparency with the caregivers and the director. If my family and I have questions, we get a response in a timely fashion. The director has very high expectations for this assisted living home. It is a safe and caring home for its patients. I am always recommending Cheltenham Oaks to my colleagues, banker, neighbors, and friends.

A place you can call home!
This home speaks nothing but compassion, kindness, careing, I was very skeptical about my mother going to any type of facility, because it's just not something you think about. But when we were referred to this facility, I knew immediately that if I was to place my mom somewhere, I knew this was the place, the caregivers are very caring, friendly and Kind.
The home is beautiful, very elegant, very clean. I couldn't believe, there were no Odors, I visited during meals and the residents eat restaurant style, they were served by the caregivers, and the presentation was unbelievable. The residents eats very well, I know because my mother health has improved since being here. I noticed while visiting, the residents are involved in activities, and some even went out to activities, my mother was able to participate in one of the outings. Over all this home is definitely a family atmosphere. I do not have to struggle with my schedule and taking my mom to the doctors, because the physicians visits regularly, my mom needed a therapist and the Registered Nurse set it up for her. There is much love and care in this home. We are very happy my mother is here, This home is a 5 star rating,

WISH I COULD RATE WITH 0 STARS
Although I wish I could give this facility 0 stars I can't. This facility is by far one of the worst places I've ever been to. The provider barely ever buys food for the house and when she doesn't buy for the employees are instructed to make a "miracle meal" (slapping anything together to fill the residents). The residents are forced to do the same activities over and over again, its usually one of for puzzles or bingo. The residents are rarely taken out on outings. I've witnessed a resident not have her hair combed and be groomed until her daughter was on her way to take her out. DONT EVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS PLACE, ITLL BE THE DEATH OF THEM.
