My wife and I moved here at the urging of our daughter, several years ago. My wife was slipping into Alzheimer's deadly grip and I was recovering from a heart attack earlier that year. My daughter wanted us to be closer to her so she could "keep an eye" on us. We lost my wife the following year and needless to say, things could only get worse as my income was literally cut in half after her death. I soon realized how fortunate I was in living here because of the Director and her wonderful staff from her all the way down the line. Soon I was moving to a smaller apartment that was more in my range for my income. I can't say enough about the staff here at Carriage Inn. From the lunch room staff to the young ladies that clean our apartments. Their attention was enormous as they treated my wife and me with care and affection, as if we were their grandparents. From the cafeteria, where they prepared my wife's special diet, to the move to a smaller apartment, I cannot praise them enough. I am going on 5 years next summer and this is my home now and all my 'family' is here.

I came here after the death of my husband. I was grieving and upset. Everyone here has been wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I have a large family and they visit often. The staff and residents have made me part of the family here, too. I feel safe and well cared for.

My husband and I are very happy to be living in this beautiful, caring Carriage Inn. If I could recommend a change, it would be that food servers strive to get us hot food on hot or warm plates for all meals.
