Where they fall down completely, is with the issue of integrity and honesty. The mislead people into believing one thing and then they charge them another thing. I think the integrity issue is more important than all of the other issues. I know others have had the same experience - it is not just me making this criticism.

Our loved one seems to be very happy at Carriage House, and compared to the precious community she is enjoying these meals so much better. She does not participate in activities now but we are working on it and we can see all the different things they do. We also are paying less at Carriage House but receiving more then our loved ones previous community .

I had some issues with the care level being elevated for my loved one and not informing the family. I tried calling the community and didn't receive a call back. I ended up speaking with an office staff member and they stated that my loved one was at an even higher level than I thought. I then received a bill for this higher care level, even though the office member who I spoke with stated they would take the care level down a notch for my loved one. It would be helpful to have more proactive communication about the care level changes and what is included in these changes from the staff. Overall my loved one is content and this makes the family happy. The community is very clean and overall everyone is very friendly anytime I visit.

The list for improvements is too long. I would not recommend their memory care facility. I picked this community, because of their promises to take care of my loved one. It was great the first month, then it went downhill.

My loved one lived here and it was not a good experience. Even from the tour, I maybe should have known. I had a scheduled tour and arrived on time, but was left to wait for an hour while the tour guide worked on something else. The tour guide didn't acknowledge me or tell me that there would be a delay. The receptionist felt bad and eventually brought me a brochure and other reading materials about the facility to look over while I waited. My loved one started in Assisted Living and was then moved to Memory Care. He missed several days of medication due to confusion about administering the medication. His bed in the Memory Care unit smelled terribly of urine, we noticed it the first time we walked in. Just not a good experience. They list themselves as a five star facility, but that was definitely not our experience. They advertise that they're very interactive and engaged with residents, but I saw no evidence of that. I saw the opposite. My loved one wasn't happy here. Even after bringing him home, he would tell me that I had no idea how horrible this facility was. I would not recommend them to family and friends.

The staff was amazing and always made my father feel like family. I could just always tell that the staff actually cares. It was obvious in the way they treated the residents and how they interacted with them.

They can't do anything right. Before my loved one died, in his last day the care provided was not acceptable. They did not respond to my loved one needs, they did not have the correct equipment needed to take my loved ones vitals and often had to borrow my fathers. The food was often cold, what ordered is what not what my loved one received, if you ordered an item the second time around it is not the same food item as the first time, the food was very inconsistent. I would not recommend this community to anyone.

This facility is very new and very clean. They're pretty severely understaffed, but the staff that they do have is quite good. The food is good. Housekeeping is great and everything is very well maintained. Communication with the family is good. The atmosphere is very quiet. Most of the residents aren't mobile and interactive. They had an activities schedule, but activities weren't happening. When I asked about it, I was told that the activities director has been out for awhile and that the person in charge of outside trips has been gone for awhile. This was our only real issue here. My dad is very active and needed a more lively and interactive atmosphere. We ended up moving him to a facility that better fit that need. However, I think it could be a great fit for someone who is looking for a more quiet environment. I have and will continue to recommend this facility to those who are looking for that type of living style/atmosphere.

Overall I think they were good to work with. The one negative I might add is that my loved one needed access to the courtyard more often and that was kind of part of the deal we made with them. But I do understand that they cannot just leave the doors open because of other residents who lived there.

It is a wonderful community but they really need to make some improvements. The friendliness of the staff really depends on the shift as well as the care that is being provided. The manager on the memory care side also yells quite often at our family so that could stop. Our loved one does really enjoy the meals and dining service the cook does do a wonderful job. The first couple of months there was no air conditioning on our loved ones room so it would get up to the 90s, and when it was put it the room would drop to the 60s. The nursing staff could also right down all of their procedures that way all of the staff know what to follow.

When I went in there with my husband, they were going through a transition. They had a lot of places with new people in there and I didn't interact with them. Overall, I had a fine experience with Carriage House. This was a much better place than our previous community. The previous place insisted that my husband stay in their memory care unit, and he didn't belong in memory care. He was locked in, and the people who took care of him, a few of them were nice. The woman who was in charge was also in charge of assisted living and it was more than she could handle. We moved him to Carriage House; they evaluated him and they put him in assisted living. He had such a nice place, and they provided better care services.

Our tour at Carriage House went very well. The lady that met with us was very helpful. The facility was nice. It was a bigger facility though, and not memory care-specific. And the residents in their memory care unit just didn't look engaged like they did at other places we visited.

I visited so many different facilities and when I got to Carriage House, the peace of mind just hit me. The staff has just been phenomenal. It feels more like a retirement community. I knew she would still feel like she had her independence. The response time from staff and the communication has been great. My mom is very happy. She has made friends, she loves the staff, the food, really everything about it. They do a great job with her care and they have tons of activities provided for all of the residents. I know that she is safe here and I would absolutely recommend them to others.

It's a great place. I have no complaints whatsoever. The care is excellent. The food is delicious. And they have plenty of activities and things for the residents to do.

We haven't had experience with the meals and dining service ourselves because of the covid restrictions. We did get a great first impression just from the tour, they were able to show us everything they had to offer. However, like many other places they are understaffed at times.
