Ours was an online tour. We would have loved to see it in person, but as far as answering our questions and giving us a great tour under the circumstances, they did a great job. We didn’t go with them because they don't take Medicaid (they're cash only). And we didn’t want to have to move our loved one once we ran out of cash options. But the people on our tour were great.
My Mom was at the Killarney St. Cardan Manor for 6 months. She had been diagnosed with dementia and was at the moderate stages when she was admitted. The first few months were fine, we were able to have socially distanced outdoor visits. My mom gained weight and looked healthy. I did notice that the caretaker to patient ratio was not what they told us, I saw 8 elderly being cared for with only one very petite caretaker. We were told 2 caretakers with a max of 6 residents. When Covid got bad in December we couldn't visit. I tried to call the care takers were rude and short with me. Late February we decided to take my mom back to her home and care for her. She visited her doctor the day she left Cardan Manor. The doctor noted that she had lost at least 30 pounds. She had sores all over her body, some were very infected. She also had a few unexplained bruises, one on her forehead, it was obvious she had been severly neglected. My mom passed away a month after leaving Cardan Manor.
This was the worst experience we have ever had. I would not recommend this facility, there is only 1 staff member to tend to residents and they do not take care of them. It is all a big lie what they told us, it was awful.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My mother loves the staff and her new found friends. Would recommend to others who are looking for a safe and reliable home environment.
My Mom lived here for just over 2 yrs before her passing on. The house was always very clean and the residents were clean and neatly dressed and groomed. Nobody was left in wheelchairs or alone in rooms. Food was good and everyone got the assistance they needed to eat. Attendants were close, kind and dedicated. They were diligent in communicating with me on any concerns and needs. It does seem on first sight that this kind of care is expensive, but just look at renting an apartment in this area. When you include everything that is done for the residents it becomes worth its weight in gold. I was very satisfied with this experience.
Pleasant place, lots of sunlight. Pleasant staff, lots of sunlight there too.
The Cardan was a group home and it was not what we were looking for. When we walked in and looked around, I just got the vibe that my mother would not be happy here. Everyone was very nice and helpful but it was not what we were looking for.
I was so pleased with Cardan Manor. My Dad was a difficult patient, but they treated him with so much respect and patience. I feel like they just genuinely cared for him. I feel like he was not just a number here. They always went above and beyond and he was loved there. They treated him like a part of the family. This place is highly recommended. Wonderful place. I feel like God guided us to this place.
At Cardan Manor Assisted Living the staff is extremely kind and caring. The cost itself is ridiculous. That is the hardest part, just to try to come up with the money on a monthly basis. With my mom she cant necessarily participate in arts and crafts that they offer. It would still be nice if every now and then they would have some outings for the residents. Mom has only been there for 2 months so that's the only feedback I have for now.
So far so good, everything seems to be okay. She seems to be settling in. It's pretty clean and the staff is friendly. We are pretty happy with it so far.
They have been great. They have a very nice place and excellent staff. I would move in there myself if I could. It's been a really good experience and I would highly recommend Cardan Manor Assisted Living.
Due to working fulltime I am unable to provide the care for my dad in my home. I found Cardan Manor and I am thrilled. Cardan Manor provides the excellent care that I was looking for. My father is happy and so are we. If you are looking for care that tops all other places check out Cardan Manor, you will be pleased.
My father has Alzheimers and we wanted to move him to a place where he would get the care he needs. After searching we found Cardan Manor and knew this was the perfect place for our father. The owners and care takers are amazing. They are patient, very knowledgable and give 100% attention to all of my dads physical and emotional needs. I feel so blessed to have found this wonderful home away from from.
