Everyone is very friendly, sweet, accommodating, and helpful. They are all friendly they are nice. I think the table could be cleaned a little better. The patients that can’t eat should be feed quickly. My loved one has no complaints about the meals. Once I get someone to call me back there is communication but it takes 10 phone calls to reach someone.... Read more

My Mom went to Canterbury for Rehab. When entering the facility for the first time the first floor was pleasant and clean. That stopped once I reached my Mother's floor. The rooms are dated. Though, the bed was awesome and as a visitor each patient has a nice TV with a great cable provider. The first week she had no Rehab and was in what Canterbury calls Quarantine. It was more like a Psych ward. The moaning, screaming and very loud beeping of patients hitting a nurse button that were not answered. I left there in tears everyday. By week two my Mom was moved. Food, I wouldn't eat it and joking with the staff either would they. Though, I talked to [name removed](head of food service) and he helped send food that was eatable. Nursing staff, very helpful and courteous. Management - Administrative & Social Services. Seems no one talks to one another regarding patient care. PT - My Mom's PT consisted of getting out of bed and walking 10 steps. AWLFUL!

CHAOTIC and Noisy. I Thought Nursing Homes would be a nice, quiet, restful place to recuperate and get a GOOD rest but that is not the case. This facility has aids yelling in the halls and patients yelling at night so one cannot sleep. REALLY? This is totally unacceptable and I cannot wait to get out of here!

My loved one said it is a very nice place and he is happy there. He said he is getting great service there. He said they are great and he is very satisfied being there. He said the facility is very clean. He said the meals are good.

The receptionist was very nice and cheerful. Everyone was really pleasant. At first, she was iffy, but she has warmed up since then. I think she'll do fine there. The social worker is extremely wonderful. I smell nothing foul, which I was very happy about! It was very clean. She didn't say anything negative about the meals. I've been talking to the social worker, and they've been very pleasant when I ask about anything. They are extremely cooperative!

I think they are understaffed and that she is not being taken care of. Everybody needs improvement. They could be a little friendlier. I think the cleanliness is are pretty good. Nobody knows what's going on. I ask questions and they tell me "that person has just left." Even the doctor doesn't know what's going on.

My loved one does not seem to care too much for the nursing care. It seems like the evening shift is not as responsive. The place is old and there is definitely some room for improvement in terms of the cleanliness. So far the communication has been okay.

The nursing care is good there. They're very nice. The front desk is really nice. Everyone that I have spoken with are very nice. The place is dirty, and he was lying on a bed with no blanket and no sheets. We had to go out and buy him bedding. It feels like they're short staffed. My brother isn't complaining about the meals but he isn't saying they are great either. They don't look appealing.

They take care of her and all her needs are met. They addressed health issues immediately. They do what they can in regards to therapy. It is very clean for an older facility. The food could definitely be improved. They communicate well and we touch base every month. The business manager is great.

It was hard to get used to the idea of my mother at a facility like this, but the staff helped us feel more comfortable with her being there. She's improving there with therapy. I like everyone who is there. The physical therapist is very nice and helped my mother celebrate her birthday. The place has been great. Sometimes it smells, and her sink needs a little more attention. A larger trashcan would have helped. In general it is clean, but there are little issues. The food is very good and well balanced. Everyone has done a good job communicating so far.

I like the people who are employed there. The nurses, the aides, the social workers, are all very nice. They smile and say hello to you. They take care of the patients. They have excellent people doing the therapy. The social worker has been very helpful, kind, and pleasant. The floor manager has been extremely helpful. They are going through some renovations, so it looks a little disturbed. But, all and all, it's clean. My husband seems to like the food and they are very accommodating. They keep me informed of everything.

The nurses are good about spotting things that are wrong. One nurse in particular is especially great. I really like her. The staff are very nice and friendly. The room is always really clean. They always call me if anything happens. They have been good about calls and progress reports. In general, they have very good communication! My loved one has been at the facility for years and I have really only had one concern - her hygiene. Sometimes when I visit she needs more hygiene care. The aides are not as good at hygiene.

The therapy is very good. The nurses are excellent. If my wife and I had to live at a nursing home we would choose Canterbury. When she first got there it was okay and now she is complaining because she wants to go home. I am trying to get an update from the doctor. The staff changes the bedding and clean her. They change her night gown. Everybody has been great. It is clean. My wife is not satisfied with the food but she is never satisfied with anyone's cooking but her own.

One of the nurses is really great. Every time I go to him with my concerns he has tried to help me. I noticed that her walking has improved. She looks happy. Some of the nurses are amazing. The food is really good! At the beginning they were doing really great but lately they have been falling a bit short with my loved one's care. The staff hasn't been dressing her properly. A lot of the staff will just walk away because they are so busy. They don't always include all the patients in the activities. There should be more housekeeping in the dining room and bathrooms. There is no communication at all and they ignore me when I ask questions.

There are changes that need to be made. The nurses have been good and keep her clean. Everybody there has been friendly and there is a good rapport. . The communication is great! We have monthly meetings on the phone and I can call anytime to find out anything I want. The unit nurse and the therapist have been helpful. The office staff is helpful. I absolutely love her night nurse and the aide has been real good with my mother. The facility is going through renovation and the maintenance and housekeeping needs to be addressed because it is horrible.

From the intake, every person who works there is amazing. They were rockstars. The goal was to get him out as quickly as possible. The OT the PT were fantastic and the speech therapist was amazing. They get a Five Plus stars! The admissions bent over backwards to help. All of the staff care was amazing. Everyone was fantastic. The facility is a little rough around the edges, but they're doing construction right now. He's not a senior, so the food was really really bland. The textures were very squishy and the smells were unappetizing.

I found they are very caring. Today we had a meeting and we met with the social worker, nutritionist and dietitian and we discussed goals and put my mind at ease a lot. I met the therapists today with my concerns and it seemed wonderful. They seem very friendly. Everything seems to be good and every time I call the nurses are very helpful and answered my questions. They said call as often as I would like. It is an older building.
