It has been a wonderful experience for my loved one and family. I was able to find an environment that suited my loved one needs without it being a nursing home. There was no communities I could find in Alabama and this was the closest. The staff are very good to work with and I have a close relationship with them and the care they provide for my loved one. I like the physician assistant that sees my loved one, and they have become my loved one's primary care provider. The follow up with the provider is very good. They have prevented my loved one from going to the hospital on a couple of occasions. My loved one is at the highest level of care and this is an additional fee each month. The apartment, all the meals, activities, utilities (except for phone and cable), housekeeping, changing of linens, and laundry is included in the monthly fee for rent. There is a kitchenette in the apartment and a large walk-in shower. One thing that sold me on the community was the activities. Church, entertainers, field trips to shopping and more, happy hour, exercises, and more are some activities for the residents to choose from. They have a beautiful courtyard and a screened in porch for the residents to utilize. The community has to allow visitors in, and out with entry system. This community is better than what my loved one anticipated. The food has been good or a little better for my loved one.
We really liked this community and it was really nice but they required a 30 day stay and we just needed a little less than a week and this community was not able to make this work with us.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff stand out to me. The staff are available if I have questions or concerns about my loved one. The food is okay for my loved one. The community has activities for the residents to participate in.
The staff members and their care services are beyond 5 stars, we strongly recommend this community. We love that the staff do not hesitate to contact us if there is ever something wrong or a concern they have. They give us a full explanation on what they are going to do and their different procedures. No matter how small they tell us everything we need to know. Right now the activities are pretty limited still, but we are hoping they start to come back quickly.
Our tour with Brookdale Pensacola was great, but I was just not as comfortable here as I was at another we looked at. I just felt like I was being sold, they made it about them and not about us and our needs so we decided against them.
After touring other places and then touring Brookdale, we felt that the value for what you were getting was not there.

We appreciate you taking the time to visit and are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care for each resident and we will share your feedback with our management team for review.
My husband has lived at Brookdale for seven months . He has several health issues that have been treated accordingly by the medical staff. He looks forward to his meals but shies from his showers that require staff help. Brookdale is the best place he can be.
Can not accommodate my needs. My legs must be able to bear my weight.
We chose Brookdale Pensacola because when I called to speak with the sales manager, she was just very helpful and informative. Then as she was showing the facility, I realized this was the place where my grandmother had been so even though management changed, I knew the facility and how nice it was. She loved it here and he is actually in the same apartment that she was in, so we know we made the right choice. The other residents participate in the activities and enjoy themselves. As covid starts relaxing they can reintroduce outings that they did previously. My dad has had a miraculous recovery since being here, they offer great care and we could not be more pleased. I would definitely recommend to other families.
The community was very clean. The staff were very accommodating to the family. During our stay it was during the pandemic.
We chose Brookdale Pensacola because of the value for what we would be paying. It was clean, it smelled good, and it had fresh paint. It just seemed like a nicer facility. One of the reasons we also chose it was because of the social activities that they were providing. The room sizes are comparable to others that we saw. She really likes the food. My favorite part about the community would be the relationship I have with the staff members. They reach out to me to let me know what is going on with mom and I can reach out to them anytime. It has been very comforting. I would absolutely recommend.
Great looking place. Everything looked new, fresh, clean. Perfectly maintained. a real 'upscale' feel to it. We spoke to residents and their feelings were, universally, they liked it there. I would go here.
We really liked this place a lot. It was on the smaller side. The residents seemed happy, and the rooms and atmosphere were cheerful. We met the nurse and activities director, who we really liked. And, they have been very responsive to calling us back concerning our follow-up questions as we continue to evaluate places for our family member.
The residents looked happy, and I liked the apartments and facilities shown. Loved the fact that it's dog friendly. [Removed] was very cheerful and positive. However, no respite care facility was available and could not guarantee for my specific dates.
I toured this community. The staff was very nice and friendly. The meals seem to be a good variety. They had good activities that would have been good for my mom. This community comes highly recommended for the care and the value.
There activities here are a 5. The staff is okay , but they could do better. The major problem was that they are to far and that dad took a fall and was hospitalized from the fall. They were just not able to take care of dad the way that they were suppose to. I would not recommend them.
I just did not like the feel of this community. The residents I met were nice they just did not seem happy. They do offer outings at this community. They seem to have plenty of helpful and nice caregivers. The doors are locked and you need to have a code to get in and out. I do not think the residents have this code so they are not able to get out when they would like.
I liked this community during our tour. This clean community was my second choice. The staff I met were nice and they offered daily activities.
Staff very friendly and saw many residents engaging with each other. Lunch looked and smelled delicious. We were considering this option but they called me and informed me that they do not have the SEC license to care for dad's supra-pubic catheter. SO - they had to decline us!
