625 Central Ave, Osseo, MN 55369

About the community

Benedictine Senior Living at Steeple Pointe is a 59-unit residential facility described by tenants and their families as “warm and welcoming.” Located in the heart of Osseo on Central Avenue, the building that houses Steeple Pointe was originally St. Vincent’s Church. The building was converted to a residential facility in 1998, and has been serving elders ever since. Elements of the church, such as pews and stained glass, are part of the Steeple Pointe décor, reflecting the building’s heritage. Steeple Pointe is a member of the Benedictine Health System, a nationally recognized non-profit leader in providing services and care for older adults. The Benedictine Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice are evident in daily operations and service delivery by staff. Based in the Christian tradition of servant hood, Steeple Pointe serves persons of all faiths in a caring environment. Steeple Pointe offers two primary service structures, Catered Living and Assisted Living. Catered Living at Steeple Pointe is a step above independent living -- amenities and services are included in the rent that typically isn’t available at other senior independent living facilities. More services can be added as needed, eliminating a possible second move when more care is...

Steeple Pointe is good, but...

A nice facility in a nice small-town-feel area where you can walk to what you need, if walking is an option. The single rooms are decent size and clean. There is no staff to be found on the weekends!! You have to look hard to find anyone except the food prep staff. The food is fair at best and mostly from a can, so not overly healthy but comforting to a certain age group. The price is on the lower side which reflects the lack of staff. The flip signs on the doors are a joke since no one is there to see them and act on them, and one side states "I'm OK" and the other side is blank. They are slow to correct problems also. If you have the money there are better places (Sunrise), but that is a big "IF" for most people.

I Didn't See Any Activities

I liked it but I couldn't see putting someone in there with memory issues because the building that was dreary looking. They had nothing posted for the activities. When I asked them what they had they just said they would plan some. There not on activity the whole time I was there for 45 minutes.
