A homey ambience feels delightfully comfortable for seniors at Arbor View. The community puts seniors come first in assisted living, memory care, and respite care. The Chocolate Experience Museum, lakes, two smokehouses, and a 19-mile hiking trail are within 5 miles of the community. Veterans may be eligible for VA Aid benefits.
Residents have round-the-clock care, as well as wireless emergency pendants to ensure their safety. Seniors in memory care receive coaching in everyday skills to help maintain a level of independence longer. Beyond the coaching, caregivers give seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia regular reminders. A Life Enrichment Coach learns more about seniors’ interests and dislikes to tailor activities to meet each resident's preferences.
The community offers programs from helping seniors maintain physical health to making their dreams come true. A partnership with US Foods helps create nutritious meals served in a restaurant-style dining room. A TV lounge filled with red couches brings a home-like environment in the comfort of the senior living community. Read a book in the garden-view community library. On cold days, sit around the stone fireplace while socializing with other residents. Quality hospitality and your loved one’s needs are priority at Arbor View.

I had to remove my parent from this memory care facility. The staff is poorly trained, and in some cases not at all. I found their memory care program dismal. There are no stimulating activities as compared to the ALF next door. It's like they forgot about their memory care building. I saw no attempt at keeping it clean or inviting for the people living there! I was so disappointed in the lack of personal care provided and found all levels dismissive when I presented my concerns; basic running appliances, poorly put together meals, a decent place to sit w/out rips. For this level of care and price there should be some basic requirements. Instead, I found Arbor View caregivers did not reflect what their website promotes, there seemed no compassion for individuals with memory or cognitive issues, and ill equipped to oversee the diverse needs of their patients. I witnessed how abrasive and inattentive attitude flowed from the top down and any feedback was met with hostility.

Mom is getting really good care at Arbor View. She is always neat and clean. Her room is kept neat. They attend to your needs. If we ask about anything or voice any concerns, they get on it right away. The only thing I would mention is they could improve on communication - but I think that just comes down to fact that they're a little understaffed.

I thought the people I interacted with on the tour at Arbor View were very nice. It was just a little bit more expensive. And I preferred to try to keep my loved one as close as possible to where I live.
They have lots of activities, such as; Bingo, and church services. We picked this community because of the size of the community, and everyone was really friendly, including the residents. They take good care of my loved one. It's a really nice experience. Two fo the nurses {names removed] are awesome. I would recommend to other families. I would not mind living there.

Our experience with Arbor View has been great. They were really helpful with information and guided us to other resources that we were looking into as far as life going forward. The staff have been great and very easy to work with as well. I would absolutely recommend Arbor View to others.

My loved ones situation was very unique and this facility wasn't the best fit for us. However, I visited twice a week and saw the staff interact with the other residents and they seemed to do very well. The director did try, but it just wasn't the right fit. The facility itself is up to date and modern. To be fair, I think it was a combination of my loved one maybe being a little more resistant and challenging and the staff not having or taking the extra time he needed to encourage cooperation and work with my loved one to make his care successful. Ultimately, we decided to move my loved one to another facility and things are much better now. Much better. I know our situation is a little bit different and I don't want to discourage others from considering whether this is the best fit for their loved one, just sharing our experience and feedback from our time here. Especially for those looking for care for a loved one who may need more patience and time when it comes to care.
Arbor View was okay. A little expensive comparatively. They did take my Dad when others wouldn't. They did have a very nice staff.

I thought Arbor View was a very nice facility and very clean. But the apartments were studios. So they had no accommodations for couples who want to stay together. There was no kitchen/kitchenette, and my mom loves to cook. Arbor View was really nice - it just wasn't what we were looking for.

June 21, 2022Hello, Thank you for the review! We greatly appreciate your positive feedback and hope to see you again soon!
Our loved one says the food is much better here at Arbor View than at their previous community and we do think the value for the money is pretty fair.

June 21, 2022Hello, Thank you for the review! We greatly appreciate your positive feedback and hope to see you again soon!
Arbor View has been a great community so far. Compared to other communities in the area that we looked at, the cleanliness and friendliness from the people involved with the community were very easy to get long with and work with. We believe they have a lot of different activities going on, and even though we have not had the meals ourselves - every time we talk to our loved one they say everything is good.

April 25, 2022Hello, thank you for the review! We greatly appreciate your positive feedback and hope to see you again soon!
I think it is a very nice, neat, clean, friendly facility. There are plenty of activities for anyone to do. My dad particularly loves their outdoor courtyard area, and they have a little garden out there with flowers. It's very nice. It's also a small enough community where I feel like he gets enough attention. The food looks wonderful, and my dad loves it. It's been a perfect fit for him.

June 21, 2022Hello Karen, Thank you for the review! We greatly appreciate your positive feedback and hope to see you again soon!
I would want others to know that the staff seemed very overwhelmed and under skilled during our time here, especially with covid. They did not have the necessary protocols in place to keep the virus from spreading through the facility.

I visit my loved one very often here and every time I visit the staff is nice and helpful. The other residents there seemed to be friendly as well and glad to see people. The also provide activities like having an open bar once a month and once in a while they have outings to go to the store or various places. I’m pretty sure they have a calendar of some kind to keep everyone up to date on what is happening on certain days. One suggestion I would have if they could use better ingredients in the food they prepare. The food they provide isn’t that great, but other than that everything seems fine.

June 13, 2019Thank you for your review. We are excited to have your loved one with us at Arbor View Communities. Thank you for your trust in our staff to provide exceptional care for those who matter most.
The facility was clean (both the memory care unit and the main unit). I toured the facility on a Tuesday and my husband and kids toured it on Wednesday evening and found it clean, 'home-like' and the staff very pleasant. My husband and I each stopped by unannounced on different days and there were no surprises. The clients/patients were clean and seemed happy. The memory care unit is set up to keep the clients safe (security codes are needed to exit the building). The flexibility of the staff in the memory care unit is a welcome change from the other facilities that I've visited. The rooms are quite large and can fit a queen size bed with plenty of room for a lounge chair, tv, and dressers. The closets and the bathrooms are huge compared to other places. The ability to paint the room with the client's choice of color (painting done by the [removed] and hang pictures is another nice touch to personalize the space. All of the staff are background checked, trained in cpr and first aid. They also have an RN who visits and is on-call 24 hrs as well as LPN on staff. The ratio of staff to clients is 1 to 10, which is about average. The memory care unit has 3 aides and 1 med tech on during the day. One of the many nice things about the memory care unit (and the main unit) is the small number of clients so the staff really gets to know each of them. The staff ([Removed]) are very accommodating and encourage family activities. My husband and I feel confident that his parents will be well taken care of at Arbor View. The only item for improvement would be to have the main unit and the memory care units connected via a covered walkway, but I think that is on the facilities 'wish list'.

Use 34150 Fulton for GPS address. Is a CBRF facility. Care is personalized. The Director gave me a tour. 40 rooms, have singles and suites. Suites are $250/month more. Suite is similar to the apt minus the kitchen; is living room, separate bedroom and full bathroom. Suites are on the corners and have nicer outside views...single rooms' windows face each other, so basically no view. Single rooms are nice sized room and separate full bathroom. Can have bird feeders. Needs own furniture and linens/towels. 4 main common living rooms, 2 common dining areas. Homemade food; staff states very good. Large breakfast and lunch, lighter dinner (soup/sand). Hallways are very nice, nice paint and carpeting. 3 staff/20 residents, 2/20, 1/20 plus a float. Patients wear emergency necklaces. Staff have adopted a number of pts each to provide extra TLC (angels program. 3 levels of [removed] We would probably require level 2-3. Rates $3700 - $4200/mo. Have a salon; stylist comes once/week. RN on site every day, available via call 24/7. They are adamant about having all residents take part in activities, movies, etc. Had very perfumy smell when entering building, otherwise very clean overall. Will do hospice and bed checks.

A Place for Mom has scored Arbor View 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
