Alten Haus is located in a residential neighborhood. The homes were designed to blend in with the surrounding neighborhood. Careful consideration has been given to the design and floor plan of the homes. Since the homes are small, just 8- 22 residents, we are able to provide a warm family atmosphere for our residents. We offer spacious private and semi-private rooms.
Our trained staff provides 24/7 assistance to the residents in our care. General health and medical concerns are closely monitored. Our staff is supported by a team of licensed home health care nurses, in the event that a resident has on ongoing medical condition, or a specific health need.
Three delicious and nutritious meals are provided daily. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.Favorite dishes show up frequently on the menu and special diets will be accommodated. Of course, snacks and beverages are always available upon request.
Since the quality of care is a mutual concern, we carefully screen each caregiver prior to hiring. Our staff is required to complete our intensive, state certified training program. We work hard to seek out kind, caring individuals that have a genuine love for older adults.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. All 3 houses smell bad and are filthy. When things break, it takes months to fix. Even if it is a safety risk to the residents. They do not accommodate "special diets". If they can double up on rooms they will. Owners make " promises" to residents knowing they won't follow through. I feel bad for the staff and especially the residents.
THIS place is horrible do not subject your family or anyone to this
I walked in was suprised anyone would put someone there. It wasn't very well maintained. It was a little outdated, stacked next to the chair were boxes and papers, the place was messy, the patio had very little safe room to stand and have a cigarette, and the ashtray was overflowing. It's in need of a lot of TLC. I know the people there are great people and great caregivers. I asked the residents how they liked it here, and they seemed to like it. It really needs to be cleaned up.
