These include medication administration, dietary services, laundry services, and the ability and readiness to intervene if crises arise. This facility type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include residents may self-administer medication, opening dosage packaging, and assistance with reading labels. This facility has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include must provide additional nourishment and/or snacks to residents with special dietary needs or upon request, must provide three meals a day that meet acceptable and/or prescribed diet standards, No more than 14 hours must elapse between the evening and morning meals, and the food must be adapted to residents’ habits, preferences, and and physical abilities.
