Assisted living communities provide residential communities and health care to your loved one who might need a helping hand with things such as dressing or taking medication. The types of service offered often include assistance with activities of daily living. Occupants may be kept under monitoring and evaluation. These include housekeeping, laundry services, basic cognitive support, and 24-hour supervision. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as medication regimen, special health or dietary needs, physical health exam, and allergies. Staff members obtain training in a variety of fields. These areas include infection control, emergency procedures, residents’ rights, and fire safety.
