Assisted living communities offer residential communities and assistance to persons who might require support with cooking or taking medication. The types of service offered often include support with ADLs. Inhabitants may be kept under monitoring and assessment. Under certain circumstances, communities may offer continuing care, nursing, or hospice. In New Mexico, the annual median cost for an assisted living community is around $38,100 . These include transportation services, assist with medication administration, laundry, and recreational/social activities. Staff are required to receive education in a number of fields.
