This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must provide at least three meals per day and snacks, the total daily diet must meet the recommended dietary allowances of the National Academy of Sciences Food and Nutrition Board, meals must comply with diet prescribed by physicians, and meals must comply with residents’ dietary preference. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every 1 residents. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include medication administration and assistance with self-administration of medications.
