The largest city in eastern Alabama, Auburn is a historic college town filled with Southern charm and culture. The Auburn University Campus offers year round arts and cultural opportunities from both students and professional artists. Although the city does not have any professional teams, Auburn is famous for being a sports town. The local favorites are the Auburn University Tigers whose football and basketball games bring in thousands of tailgaters and sports fans every home game.
