Moms new home

Thank you from the bottom of hearts. I don’t believe we could of made this trasition without Colleen and her staff. The facility was warm and welcoming but most of all [name removed] walked us through every step. [name removed] and the staffs knowledge and kindness made our Moms trasition the best it could be. They worked with Dr from New York to here and helped with appts and medications. I will always be grateful for everything you did. Thank you again for making a home for mom.

Wonderful home for Mom!

Valley Oasis has been a true blessing for my Mother and our family. Colleen and her caring staff enabled a smooth move-in experience; the happiness of the residents in this supportive environment made Mom immediately comfortable with the move. The home is a pleasant setting and is remarkably clean and well-organized, with responsive medical attention, should it be required. Our family would like to post our highest recommendation.

Beautiful residence for quiet living with a family atmosphere and caring staff

Caregivers are very friendly and seem to be very engaged in the welfare of the residents. House is kept very clean and neat. Communication is very good, whenever there is an issue or concern about the resident. Move-in process was very easy, rooms for the most part are furnished with the basics that can be supplemented by the family of the resident. Food looks to be a good quality and variety. House could do a better job at furnishing a regular menu that is current for the week. The owner [name removed] is very caring and knowledgeable about care for the residents and their wellbeing. House may want to consider hiring an LPN on staff during the week. Caregivers are very limited on what they can do or recommendations on immediate care when necessary. House has very little planned activities for the residents. It is up to each resident to entertain themselves for the most part. I would recommend this house to others if they are looking for a quiet low key place to live where they will be well looked after. However, if they are looking for a location with an active organized activities plan to keep residents entertained and engaged, the home does not provide this.

My tour review

I wanted my loved one to be in an enclosed area and in a nice environment and neighborhood and I just did not get that feeling at this community. The tour was good and they gave me all of the information that I needed for my loved one it was just not the right place for me loved ones needs.

A great place except for boredom

Quail Manor has met all of my expectations in every way except for activities. My mother is so bored! All she wants to do is watch TV, and she keeps calling me to find out if there is anything good to watch. They had one day with a singer that came in to perform and they played cards one night. My sister and I have brought over puzzles and coloring books, but she has not been invited to the puzzle room to start one of her puzzles.

No Altec at the new home where there would be 6-8 private rooms with 4-5 bathrooms. Not completed yet. Closer to our house than any others I have toured.

This was my favorite pick, but a bit more expensive then the others. Residents are higher functioning. Larger home that holds 10 people.

Kind people!!

I have no complaints about how things went during my tour at this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. The property was clean and it seemed like comfortable living for all of the residents. Everything was clean and nicely presented throughout the building. My mother just does not need the level of care they offered at this point.

Bedrooms were too small for 2 beds. Dad would not be happy there after living in a spacious 2 bedroom house for the last 40 years. Just not a good fit for him.

Don't put anyone in Valley Oasis you will regret it.

We had our mother at Valley Oasis and the only good thing I can say about this place was the staff was wonderful. However they didn't stay long. My mother lost a lot of weight and she was always hungry. They also ran out of toilet paper. We started supplying toilet paper for mom. we also supplied bottled water and snacks. The snacks would be confiscated and shared with the other residents and mom only had a few. mom would have shared them but she wasn't given the option. Their was man who would come to visit his uncle. He Harassed the residents as well as the staff and several of them quit when the owner wouldn't do anything. We took our mom to the police station to file a report mom didn't want to press charges because she was afraid of the repercussions. It was the biggest mistake we ever made. I highly recommend you DON'T put a loved one in that home.
