Prince of Peace

The staff is super-helpful, competent and responsive. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and it is very easy to visit my loved one pretty much any time of day. They maintain an environment where residents are able to socialize and interact, which I believe is critical to mental health, mental stimulation and camaraderie.

I would recommend Prince of Peace IV to others. It feels like home and the environment is pleasing and clean. The move in process was very simple. I rate the care very high, as they notice any small changes in my mother's health and alert me immediately.

My mother has spent many good years at Prince of Peace. The location of the facility-in the historic area of Takoma Park, is lovely and vibrant. I've had many enjoyable visits with mom-sitting on the front porch and taking in the scenery. It's a homey and comfortable environment. The owners and staff of Prince of Peace are attentive, caring and helpful with all the logistics that come with assisted living. It's a true partnership with the staff and family. I've observed them at work and their dedication to the well-being of the residents is clear. Our family has been able to enjoy peace of mind knowing that my mom is well cared for.

What really stood out to us at first and what we really like about Prince of Peace III are the staff - they really give up close and personal attention to the residents and for that we would recommend them to other families.

They've been really good with my mom. The staff is caring, and they have an open door policy They don't restrict visiting. We visit unannounced every week, and it has always been a good experience. Every time I see her, she looks great. She's clean, and her room is clean. The facility as a whole is clean, and it always smells great in there. At times, my mom can be difficult, and they manage that well. She's also getting physical therapy, and they do a good job of making sure she's up and moving.

I was satisfied with our experience at Prince of Peace. The staff were all great and very friendly and the place was clean. The only downfall is it was kind of plain - I think they could use some updates. They also had other residents here not in very good condition and sometimes one resident would enter my moms room while I was there. The staff were always very responsive if we ever needed anything. It was overall a good experience and I would recommend them. Especially if you need a place that is less expensive this facility should be considered.

This is a great place to place someone if you want them to receive great care. I was apprehensive in the beginning, and what I have seen so far, I have been pleasantly surprised by. The staff are great to work with, and they are willing to assist my loved one with getting in contact with the family. The meals are really nice and home cooked for the residents. This is a smaller community with approximately 3 residents.

My family and I love Prince of Peace. They are loving, knowledgeable, and professional. My aunt loves it here. She is a lot happier, and we have a peace of mind knowing that she is being taking care of like her family would take care of her.

My grandmother was with them for 5 years and they took excellent care of her. I appreciate the way the residents are cared for with love and respect and my grandmother really loved the food there. This is a professional, home like environment and I would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of care for their loved ones!

We toured the facility. It was neat and organized. The staff seemed very friendly and professional. We are considering this place for our dad!

This facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The clients there were women over 90 yrs of age. I was not sure if my Brother would be comfortable living in this environment as he cared for our Mom, who recently passed away, to the end of her natural life of 87. Otherwise I had no issues at all.

I am so thankful for them!!! I am very happy and my mother is too!!! That was the best news I received from her!! She is not easy to please!!

I was really at a loss when I began this process. I didn't know what to look for or what questions to ask. After speaking to Mrs. Hall, I was put at ease. She and her team came to my Mom's home, explained everything to my family, and set up a visit for our Mom. Our Mom has now been there for a little over one month, and we are very satisfied. The facility is very clean, and the staff is always available to answer any questions or address any concerns we might have.

All-in-all it was a good experience. Most of the staff was friendly...some more than others. A very homey atmosphere.

Living & dining room areas are small, dark and very depressing. There are electrical issues in some bedrooms. Meals are not prepared for residents with special medical conditions, such as high blood pressure. There is a lack of inside and outside daily activities so residents either watch TV or lay in their bedrooms all day because there is nothing else for them to do. Clothes, shoes and other personal items go missing and the resident is told that they misplaced it. The missing item is either never seen again or shows up months later too damaged for use. Some staff members who really seemed to care about the residents have left the facility.

My loved one likes it, but I am NOT happy with them. I requested copies of their license and insurance information, and have still not received it! Turns out that the license they showed me was expired. They've neglected their residents, and kept my loved one in the same clothes for days, without making sure that she bathed or brushed her teeth. They told me she was unpacked when she moved in, and 2 days later, she still wasn't unpacked! I also have seen residents eating and drinking out of broken dishes! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!
